The post-industrial society is the stage of society's development when the services sector's contribution to wealth generation is more than the manufacturing sector of its economy. The term was coined by Alain Touraine and is closely related to the other sociological theories such as Post-Fordism and information society. The valuation of knowledge is the characteristic of post-industrialized society as the tertiary and Quaternary sectors are knowledge-driven it results in the restructuring of the education. As the importance of knowledge increases the increase in general expertise is also witnessed.
Three factors that are most important to the result of the Patriot victory in the Revolutionary War were the victories at Trenton and Princeton, Saratoga, and Yorktown. The victories at Trenton and Princeton raised the spirits of the Patriots and encouraged enlistments in the Continental Army.
More and more people moved westward to claim lands that were
once inhabited by Native Americans. This
was encouraged by the government. This
also led to several conflicts with Indians that would later lead to a war
between the Indians and U.S. army. In
the end, the west was completely settled completing the U.S. expansion to that
area.
