You can look at magnesium, it can react with oxygen to form oxides. (chemical) it is malleable and a solid at room temperature. (physical)

to measure its density, the mass and volume can be worked out and from this density too. look up the equation, it is quite easy :)

physical changes -- it can be melted, and oxidized <span />

Answer:

Let the substance is H_2O

1. Physical property is defined as the property of a substance which becomes evident during physical changes. Example: Melting point  of water is 0^0C

Chemical property is defined as the property of a substance which becomes evident during chemical changes. Example: Reaction of water with active metals such as sodium

2. Density is measured as the ratio of amount of mass per unit volume.

density=\frac{mass}{volume}

3.  A chemical change is defined as a change in which a change in chemical composition takes place. A new substance is formed in these reactions.

2H_2O\rightarrow 2H_2+O_2

A physical change is defined as a change in which there is alteration in shape, size etc. No new substance gets formed in these reactions.

Example: evaporation of water

Aneli [31]

Answer:

a) 096V  b) 0.0288A  c) 0.3456W

Explanation:

a) Vp/Vs= Np/Ns

 120/Vs= 500/4

Vs= 096V

b) Np/Ns= Is/Ip

500/4= 3.6/Ip

Ip= 0.0288A

c) P= VI

P=(120)(0.0288)

P= 0.3456W

a 0.0780 kg lemming runs off a 5.36 m high cliff at 4.84 m/s. what is its kinetic energy(KE) when it jumps PLEASE HELP ME
Kay [80]

Answer:

0.91 J

Explanation:

The kinetic energy of an object is given by

K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where

m is the mass of the object

v is its speed

For the lemming in this problem, when he jumps, we have:

m = 0.0780 kg is the mass

v = 4.84 m/s is the speed

Substituting into the equation, we find:

K=\frac{1}{2}(0.0780)(4.84)^2=0.91 J
