g If you keep the launch angle fixed, but double the initial launch speed, what happens to the range?
kiruha [24]

Answer:

Range will become 4 times of initial range

Explanation:

Let the velocity of projection is u

And angle at which projectile is projected is \Theta

And acceleration due to gravity is g\ m/sec^2

So range of projectile is equal to R=\frac{u^2sin2\Theta }{g}........eqn 1

Now in second case it is given that velocity of launching is doubled

So new velocity u_{new}=2u

So new range will be equal to R_{new}=\frac{(2u)^2sin2\Theta }{g}=\frac{4u^2sin2\Theta }{g} .....eqn 2

Now dividing eqn 2 by eqn 1

\frac{R_{new}}{R}=\frac{4u^2sin2\Theta }{g}\times \frac{g}{u^2sin2\Theta }

R_{new}=4R

So if we double the initial launch speed then range will become 4 times

A source at rest emits light of wavelength 500 nm. When it is moving at 0.90c toward an observer, the observer detects light of
Vesna [10]

Answer:

The observer detects light of wavelength is 115 nm.

(b) is correct option

Explanation:

Given that,

Wavelength of source = 500 nm

Velocity = 0.90 c

We need to calculate the wavelength of observer

Using Doppler effect

\lambda_{o}=\sqrt{\dfrac{1-\beta}{1+\beta}}\lambda_{s}

Where, \beta=\dfrac{c}{v}

\lambda_{o}=\sqrt{\dfrac{c-0.90c}{c+0.90c}}\times500\times10^{-9}

\lambda_{o}=115\ nm

Hence, The observer detects light of wavelength is 115 nm.

List and describe the main functions of the lobes and the human brain
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer:

Each side of your brain contains four lobes. The frontal lobe is important for cognitive functions and control of voluntary movement or activity. The parietal lobe processes information about temperature, taste, touch and movement, while the occipital lobe is primarily responsible for vision.

(a) Calculate the linear acceleration of a car, the 0.220-m radius tires of which have an angular acceleration of 11.0 rad/s2. A
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

The value is  a_t =  2.42 \  m/s^2

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The radius of the tires is  r =  0.22 \  m

   The  angular acceleration is  \alpha  =  11.0 \ rad/s^2

Generally the linear acceleration is mathematically represented as

     a_t =  r *  \alpha

=>  a_t =  0.22  *  11

=>  a_t =  2.42 \  m/s^2
