fgiga [73]

In order for us to compare a dog to a donut, the properties of life must be determined. These properties are Organization (unicellular/multicellular), Metabolism (anabolism/catabolism), Homeostatis, Growth, Reproduction, Response and Evolution. Since the dog has all of these properties while the donut doesn’t, therefore we can say that the dog is a living organism and the donut isn’t.

Which of the following will cause an increase in the mass of an object?
Galina-37 [17]
I would say the answer would be the increase in the amount of matter present in the object. On earth there is a fairly good correlation between mass and weight. For example, a box containing diamond drill core will weigh more when the granitic rock is fresh and unaltered than when it is altered to lighter minerals like clay minerals (argillic minerals) as they are generally lighter than the parent feldspars like plagioclase, so the fresh granitic rock has more matter in it.
