Answer:

Henry has read per minute 3 pages.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Henry is an avid reader. He devours 90 pages in half-an-hour.

Now, to find pages Henry has read per minute.

Let the number of pages Henry has read per minute be x.

Number of pages he devours in half-an-hour = 90 pages.

So, as half an hour is 30 minutes.

Thus, number of pages he devours in 30 minutes = 90 pages.

Now, to get the pages he has read per minute:

According to question:

30x=90

Dividing both sides by 30 we get:

x=3.

Therefore, Henry has read per minute 3 pages.

katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

a) ~10.58 km/h

b) 45 min

c) 15 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

a) 45km for 4 hours and 15min (4.25 hours) = 45 / 45.25 ~= 10.58 km/h

b) From 4:15 to 5 = 45min

c) 45km for 3 hours (5:00 to 8:00) = 45 / 3 = 15 km/h

NOTE!

The author actually wanted the answer on A) to be 10 km/h and the journey to be 4.5 hours (4 hours 30min) but instead they made it 4.25 (as shown on the graph, since 1 square is 30 minutes).

The_________states that the sum measures of the interior angles of a triangle is 180
serious [3.7K]

The Triangle sum theorem states that the sum measures of the interior angles of a triangle is 180 degree

Solution:

We know that,

The Triangle Sum Theorem states that if you add all three interior angles, those are the angles inside the triangle, they would always add up to 180 degrees.

It is easy to remember that we add the three angle measurements to get 180 degrees because of the word sum in the name of the theorem. To make it short and sweet:

Consider a triangle with interior angles a, b, and c. Then we can say,

\angle a+\angle b+\angle c=180^{\circ}

The Triangle Sum Theorem is also called the Triangle Angle Sum Theorem or Angle Sum Theorem

x in terms of b:

-2(bx - 5) = 16

-2bx + 10 = 16

-2bx =  6

    x = 6 / -2b

    x = -3/b

--------------------------------

when b = 3 then

-2(3x - 5) = 16

-6x + 10 = 16

-6x =  6

  x = -1

Answer

The value of x in terms of b is -3/b

The value of x when b is 3 is -1
