three friends Run a 10 mile relay each person runs an equal amount what fraction of the relay does each person run
Anon25 [30]

Hey there!

Since there are 3 friends running an equal amount of this relay race, each will run 1/3 of the relay.

This is because 3 thirds make a whole, and each third is equal to the others, so if you add each distance ran by each of the friends, or simply multiply each portion by 3, you'd get 10 miles.

If you're also looking for how long each friend runs, which I know isn't in the question but I'll add it anyways, it is 3 1/3 miles. This can be found by dividing 10 into 3 equal parts.

Hope this helps!

The sum of 38 and twice and number is 124. Find the number
EastWind [94]
That can be written as : 38 + 2n = 124
n being the number
38 + 2n = 124
2n = 124 - 38
2n = 86
n = 86/2
n = 43

The number is 43

Consider this example on how different a median can be from a sample. Suppose there is a company that mentions the average salar
Delvig [45]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the data :

8000, 8000, 7000, 11000, 15000, 17000, 20000, 1000000.

Mean = Σx / n = 1086000 / 8 = 135750

Median = 1/2(n+1)th term = 8000

The lower quartile :

Q1 = 1/4(n+1)th term

Q1 = 8000

Q3 = 3/4 (n+1)th term

Q3 = 18500

IQR = 18500 - 8000 = 10500

OUTLIER :

8000 - (1.5*(10500)) = - 7750

18500 + (1.5*(10500)) = 34250

10% trimmed mean

10% * 8

Cut off 1 from the top and bottom

Data becomes : 8000, 8000, 11000, 15000, 17000, 20000

Trimmed mean = 13166

Which literal equations are equivalent to m=w/g? a) g=w/m; b) g=m/w; c) w=mg; d) w=m/g
Charra [1.4K]
A) g=w/m
d) w=m/g
It introduces the relationship between two variables and is called correlation. Proportionality or variation is state of relationship or correlation between two variables It has two types: direct variation or proportion which states both variables are positively correlation. It is when both the variables increase or decrease together. On the contrary, indirect variation or proportion indicates negative relationship or correlation. Elaborately, the opposite of what happens to direct variation. One increases with the other variables, you got it, decreases. This correlations are important to consider because you can determine and identify how two variables relates with one another. Notice x = y (direct), y=1/x (indirect)
