It would make us lighter, and it would be easier to dunk the ball. The ball would also bounce higher.
Hopefully this helps!!!:)

Not at all. Our muscle-skeleton are adapted to the current gravitational force if we were born into an environment with half the gravitational force then our muscles would also be atrophied thus rendering the whole scenario mute.

Find the Horizontal (x) vector for these forces.
Anestetic [448]

Answer:

See the explanation below.

Explanation:

The force is a vector therefore we can decompose the force into components x & y. as we need the horizontal component of the force, we must use the cosine function of the angle.

F_{1x}=30.8*cos(20)\\F_{1x}=28.94[N]\\F_{2x}=34.3*cos(20)\\\\F_{2x}= 32.23[N]

An elevator cab and its load have a combined mass of 1600 kg. Find the tension in the supporting cable when the cab, originally
amid [387]

The tension in the supporting cable when the cab originally moves downward is 18422.4 N

What is tension?

Tension is described as the pulling force by the means of a three-dimensional object.

Tension might also be described as the action-reaction pair of forces acting at each end of said elements.

Here,

m =combined mass = 1600 kg

s = Displacement of the elevator = 42 m

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

u = Initial velocity = 12 m/s

v = Final velocity = 0

According to the equation of motion:

v^{2} - u^{2} = 2as

0 - 12^2 = 2*a*42

a = - 144 / 84

a = - 1.714 m/s^2

Now let's write the equation of the forces acting on the elevator. Taking upward as positive direction:

T-mg = ma

T = m(g-a)

T = 1600 ( 9.8-(-1.74))

T=18422.4 N

Hence,

The tension in the supporting cable when the cab, originally moving downward is 18422.4 N

A bathysphere used for deep-sea exploration has a radius of 1.50 m and a mass of 1.19 104 kg. In order to dive, this submarine t
Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

m = 2,776.95 kg

Explanation:

given,

radius = 1.5 m

mass = 1.19 x 10⁴ Kg

constant speed, v = 1.4 m/s

Resistive force = 1105 N

density of sea water = 1.03 x 10³ kg/m³

Volume of vessel,

v=\dfrac{4}{3}\pi r^3

v=\dfrac{4}{3}\pi\times 1.5^3

v = 14.14 m³

Upthrust,

U = ρ g V

U = 1030 x 9.8 x 14.14

U  = 142729.16 N

Since the vessel is moving at a constant speed, the resultant force on it should equal zero.

downward acting forces = upward acting forces

Mg = U + resistive force

M x 9.8 = (142729.16+1105)

M=14676.95 Kg

Mass of water,

m = M - mass of vessel

m = 14676.95 Kg- 11,900 kg

m = 2,776.95 kg

Find the distance (P1, P2) between the points P, and P2:
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

\mathfrak{\huge{\orange{\underline{\underline{AnSwEr:-}}}}}

Actually Welcome to the concept of distance formula.

Distance formula ==>

\sqrt{( {x2 - x1})^{2}  + ( {y2 - y1})^{2} }

so applying this we get as,

D = underoot (9)^2 + (-5)^2

==> D = 10.29 units

distance = 10.29 units
