The answer is 56! I used a double number line! You have to get the unit rate first! Unit means 1, you have to get from 12 to 1! I did 12 divided by 12, and got 1! Whatever I do to the bottom I do to the top. So I divided 60 by 12 and got 5. Now we have to get to seven, so I multiplied 1 x 7 and got 7. Than I multiplied 5 times 7 and got 56! I hope I helped! :D

Semenov [28]
If she studied for 2.3 she would have a total of 11.5 because if she got 5 points per hour you just have to multiply it the number of hours she spent studying. So 2.3 x 5 = 11.5! :-)

Find the value of x and y
Nesterboy [21]

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1. break into 2 shapes: a rectangle of sides 3 and 4. a triangle of sides (x - 3), 4, and y.

step 2. y = 4sqrt(2) (definition of a 45° triangle)

step 3. note: sqrt is the square root.

step 4. x - 3 = 4 (definition of a 45° triangle)

step 5. x = 7 (add 3 to both sides).

Use FOIL to explain how to find the product of (a + b)(a − b). Then describe a shortcut that you could use to get this product w
andriy [413]
Greetings!

FOIL stands for:

F
ront
Outside
Inside
Last

This tells which terms to multiply when using the Distributive Property.
(NOTE: Only applicable with 2-term Polynomials)

For Example:
(a+b)(a-b)

Multiply the Fronts of both Equations:
(a*a)

Multiply the Outsides of both Equations:
(a*a)+(a*-b)

Multiply the Insides of both Equations:
(a*a)+(a*-b)+(b*a)

Multiply the Lasts of both Equations:
(a*a)+(a*-b)+(b*a)+(b*-b)

Simplify.
=a^2-ab+ba-b^2

=a^2-b^2

Alternative Method (My Prefered Method)
(a+b)(a-b)=a(a+b)-b(a+b)

Use Regular Distributive Property.
a(a+b)-b(a+b)

a*a+a*b-b*a+-b*b

Simplify.
a^2+ab-ba+-b^2

a^2-b^2

Hope this helps.

kykrilka [37]

Answer:

π (3.14) seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

T = 2π√(L/32)

T = 2π√(8/32)

T = 2π√(1/4)

T = 2π(1/2)

T = π

It will take π seconds for the pendulum to complete a full cycle if the pendulum is 8 feet long
