Answer:

length is 23.228091 m

Explanation:

Given data

radius = 0.791 mm = 0.791 × 10^{-3} m

current =  9.25 A

voltage =  1.20 × 10² V

to find out

resistance and  length of wire

solution

we know the resistance formula that is

resistance = voltage / current

resistance = 1.20 × 10²  /9.25

resistance = 12.97

so resistance is 12.97 ohm

and length of nichrome wire formula is

length = resistance × area /  specific resistance of wire

so specific resistance of wire  we know = 1.1 × 10^{-6}

and area = \pi × r² = \pi × (0.0791× 10^{-3})²

area = 1.97 × 10^{-6}

length =   12.97  × 1.97 × 10^{-6}  /  1.1 × 10^{-6}

so length is 23.228091 m

A student at the top of building of height h throws one ball upward with the initial speed V and then throws a second ball downw
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

They are the same (assuming there is no air friction)

Explanation:

Take a look at the picture.

When the first ball (the one thrown upward) gets to the point marked as A, the speed will has the exact same value V but the velocity will now point downward (just like the second ball).

So if you think about it, the first ball, from point A to the ground, will behave exactly like the second ball (same initial speed, same height).

That is why the speeds will be the same when they reach the ground.

An RLC series circuit consists of a 50 Ω resistor, a 200 μF capacitor, and a 120-mH inductor whose coil has a resistance of 20 Ω
solmaris [256]

Answer:

182.9 Volts

Explanation:

R = resistance of the resistor = 50 Ω

C = capacitance of the capacitor = 200 μF = 200 x 10⁻⁶ F

L = Inductance of the inductor = 120 mH = 0.12 H

f = frequency = 60 Hz

Capacitive reactance is given as

X = (2πfC)⁻¹

X = (2(3.14) (60) (200 x 10⁻⁶))⁻¹

X = 13.3 Ω

Inductive reactance is given as

X' = 2πfL

X' = 2(3.14) (60) (0.12)

X' = 45.2 Ω

Impedance of the circuit is given as

z = √(R² + (X' - X)²)

z = √(50² + (45.2 - 13.3)²)

z = 59.31 Ω

V = rms emf of the source = 240 Volts

rms voltage across the inductor is given as

V' = V z⁻¹ X'

V' = (240) (59.31)⁻¹ (45.2)

V' = 182.9 Volts

When light shines through atomic hydrogen gas, it is seen that the gas absorbs light readily at a wavelength of 91.63 nm. What i
Artist 52 [7]

Answer:

D) 21

Explanation:

When gas absorbs light , electron at lower level jumps to higher level .

and the difference of energy of orbital is equal to energy of radiation absorbed.

Here energy absorbed is equivalent to wavelength of 91.63 nm

In terms of its energy in eV , its energy content is eual to

1243.5 / 91.63 = 13.57 eV. This represents the difference the energy of orbit .

Electron is lying in lowest or first level ie n = 1.

Energy of first level

= - 13.6 / 1² = - 13.6 eV.

Energy of n th level = - 13.6 / n². Let in this level electron has been excited

Difference of energy

= 13.6 - 13.6 / n² = 13.57 ( energy of absorbed radiation)

13.6 / n² = 13.6 - 13.57 = .03

n² = 13.6 / .03 = 453

n = 21 ( approx )
