Natural events primarily responsible for the destruction and creation of landforms on earth are called plate tectonics.
They are simply moving lithospheric plates on the asthenosphere.
There are three types of plate boundaries which are convergent, divergent and transform.
A convergent margin is destructive margin where two plates collides against one another. The denser plate gets subducted. Sometimes they have same density and they both get obducted creating some towering peaks where plates are being crushed.
A divergent margin is a constructive margin. It is a spreading center where new magma erupts to the surface.
At a transform margin, plates slides past one another.
We can vividly see that plate movement creates and destroys land forms.
