To find the total volume of the box, you will find the volumes of each separate piece.

Use the formulas for finding the volumes of each:

V = 1/3 Bh (pyramid);  B stands for the area of the base shape
      1/3 x 8 x 8 x 3
V = 64 cubic inches

V = Bh (prism)
      8 x 8 x 4
V = 256 cubic inches

256 + 64 = 320 cubic inches

The total volume of the box is 320 cubic inches.

Given that P = (-5, 5) and Q = (-13, 10), find the component form and magnitude of 2 vector PQ.
Brut [27]
Define unit vectors along the x-axis and the y-axis as \hat{i} , \, \hat{j} respectively.

Then the vector from P to Q is
\vec{PQ} = (-13+5)\hat{i} + (10-5)\hat{j} = -8\hat{i} + 5\hat{j}
In component form, the vector PQ is (-8,5).

The magnitude of vector PQ is
√[(-8)² + 5²] = √(89) = 9.434

Answer:
The vector PQ is (-8, 5) and its magnitude is √89  (or 9.434).

What is 5 1/4 - 3 3/8<br> In a fraction
Maksim231197 [3]

First, turn the fractions into mixed numbers.

21/4 - 27/8

Then. make the denominators the same.

4 * 2 = 8

21 * 2 = 42

42/8 - 27/8

42 - 27 = 15

15/8

15/8 = 1 7/8
