Answer: x^2+3

Step-by-step explanation:

If regular f(x) is equal to x^2, then if you just add 3 to the original, you add 3 to the same x^2. The three becomes a shift upwards on the graph. You put your vertex point up 3 on the vertical line then make your parabola

What is the maximum number of regions formed by 3 circles and 2 straight lines?
frez [133]
The answer is 10.

This is because only one of the circles can be split into 4 sections due to their being an intersection in that circle. The rest may have both lines running through their length splitting them into 3 sections each.

The thompson's need their garage door opener repaired. the table shows the service charge and hourly labor fees for two repair c
pentagon [3]
All you need to do here is know where and how to plug in the numbers. In each equation, you'll have an initial fee, and an hourly fee, so your equation will be
y = i + hx, where i = the initial fee, and h = the hourly fee

So, after plugging them in, here's what you get:
Doors Galore: y = 40 + 50x
G&H: y = 60 + 40x

  • x/9 = cos 48°
  • x = 9 cos 48°
  • x = 6.0

2.

  • x/11 = sin62°
  • x = 11 sin 62°
  • x = 9.7

3.

  • x/8 = tan 75
  • x = 8 tan 75°
  • x = 29.9

4.

  • sin x = 38/53
  • x = arcsin 38.53
  • x = 45.8°

5.

  • tan x = 15/20
  • x = arctan 15/20
  • x = 36.9°

6.

  • cos x = 27/29
  • x = arccos 27/29

Bonita is testing prototype model rocket engines. To be considered a successful launch, the rocket must reach a height of at lea
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

(0, 33)   : Yes

(4.8,  30.5)  : Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

height of at least 24 ft :  y >= 24

horizontal distance of no more than 10 ft. : 0 <= x <= 10

The vertical height must be at least three times as high as the horizontal distance. No rocket should go higher than 33 ft.:

y >=  3x and y <= 33

So Constraints:

24 <= y <= 33

y >= 3x

0 <= x <= 10

Now check to see if those coordinate points meet all the constraints

(0, 33)   : Yes

(4.8, 30.5)  : Yes

(9, 26)  : No (because 26 is less than (3 * 9) = 27)

(4, 36) : No (because 36 > 33,  must be 24 <= y <= 33)

(2, 22): No (because 22 <24,  must be 24 <= y <= 33)
