Water is, indeed, an exception. Normally when temperature drops, material shrinks. Water doesn't, water expands instead.

Straight linear path

Explanation:

If the universe were completely empty with just one object which is solid moving sphere  through the space at a speed of 100km/s, it will move along on a straight path.

An object will continue on a straight path or at rest unless acted upon by an external force. This is the first law of newton.

  • Since there is no other mass or body in the universe, it will move along in a straight line.
  • Our planet and other bodies moves in parabolic path and elliptical orbits because they are attracted by the gravitational forces of other bodies.
  • Any body with mass will attract other bodies and makes it move round it.
  • The body with the less mass will orbit in the vicinity of the larger mass.
  • But if we have just one body out there, there is no attraction from any other body, it will continue along it's straight path.

A 0.210-kg metal rod carrying a current of 11.0 A glides on two horizontal rails 0.490 m apart. If the coefficient of kinetic fr
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer:

The  magnetic field is  B = 0.0764 \ T

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The mass of the metal is  m = 0.210 \ kg

     The current is  I  =  11.0 \ A

      The distance between the rail(length of the rod ) is  d  =  0.490 \ m

      The coefficient of kinetic friction is  \mu_k = 0.200

Generally the magnetic force is mathematically represented as

      F_b  =  B *  I  *  d

Given that the rod is moving at a constant velocity, it

=>    F_b  =  F_k

Where F_k is the kinetic frictional force which is mathematically represented as

       F_k  =  \mu_k  *  m *  g

So

    B *  I  *  d =  \mu_k  * m * g

=>   B =  \frac{\mu_k  * m * g}{I  *  d }

substituting values

=>   B =  \frac{0.200  * 0.210  * 9.8 }{ 11  *  0.490 }

=>   B = 0.0764 \ T

A particle that has a charge of 7.4 μC moves with a velocity of magnitude 3 × 105 m/s along the +x axis. It experiences no magne
sweet [91]

Answer:

Explanation:

F = qvB

Where F equal to the magnetic force on the particle.

q = charge on the particle

v = velocity of the particle

B =Magnetic field

F = 0.520N

q = 7.4 μC = 7.4×10-⁶C

v = 3×10⁵m/s

B= ?

B = F/qv

B = 0.520/(7.4×10-⁶ ×3×10⁵)

B = 0.234T.
