Just plug it in!
2(5)+1/(5)2
So 1/5*2=2/5
then 2*5=10 so
10 2/5
I'm think; the fraction is quite confusing because I'm not sure whether it is (1/x)2 or 1/(x2).
 I solved for (1/x)2.

\dfrac{2x + 1}{ {x}^{2} }  \\ =  \dfrac{2(5) + 1}{ {5}^{2} }  \\  =  \dfrac{11}{25}

Answer is 11/25.

Hope this helps. - M

Pieter wrote and solved an equation that models the number of hours it takes to dig a well to a level of 72 feet below sea level
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Is this the entire question? Some of it makes no sense without a diagram or something.

To get rid of A you actually have to solve the equation.

7h – 5(3h – 8) = –72        Remove the brackets

7h - 15h + 40 = - 72          Combine the like terms

- 8h + 40 = - 72                Subtract 40 from both sides

- 8h = -112                        Divide by -8

    h = 14

Well the depth is a whole number so A is true.

We don't know anything about time. But the answer is positive.

C is false because B is true.

We don't know exactly what the depth of the well is.

I would pick A, but you need the entire question.

<BAC = <DEC = 30°

<BCA = <DCE = 70°

<CDE (or m<D) = 180° - <DEC - <DCE

<CDE = 180° - 30° - 70°

<CDE = 80°

The number that belongs in the green box is 80
