Answer:

Societal response to crime and deviance:

If a person belonging to a specific region and culture breaks a norm or set of rules that are set by the leaders or his ancestors then it is termed as deviance. While, any person relating to some culture might not think the same. That is due to difference any perception of the different individuals belonging to different cultures and backgrounds.

 • While, the society to which the person who committed the deviance might be considered as the offender but in some other region people will be feel okay with that, as there is a difference in perceptions between individuals across the globe.
 • While, crime is more related to the universal rules and regulations. As if any person commits a murder, or the criminal is involved in sort of robbery or any of the inhumane activities then he will face the court. So,crimes are the offenses which are not associated with any specific culture.

Explanation:

Norms and rules related to societies:

 • The cultural norms are the set of beliefs that any person related to a specific culture has about a certain term or aspect of life. As any individual related to any specific culture has a way of life. As according to those rules and terms set by there ancestors or leader all the individual spends there lives.
 • Now, if any individuals seems to breaking the rule or going against any set of norms belonging to a specific culture, it might look offensive to some people, but other individuals relating to other societies might not worry about that. As what we think of any term, it does not mean that any other person will feel or think the same.
