3pi is irrational because it cannot be expressed as a fraction or decimal. The digits after the decimal point in pi continue on forever without a pattern.

Let σ be portion of the paraboloid z = x 2 + y 2 − 9 lying on and below the xy-plane. Let σ have downward orientation. Let C be
Grace [21]

Answer:

See explaination

Step-by-step explanation:

Stoke theorem proposes that the surface integral of the curl of a function over any surface bounded by a closed path is equal to the line integral of a particular vector function round that path.

The Stoke Theorem can be used if you see a two dimensional region bounded by a closed curve, or if you see a single integral ie a line integral.

a forest ranger in a 140-foot observation tower sees a fire moving in a direct path toward a lake. the angle of depression to th
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

1675 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

For us to calculate how close the windmill is to the fire, if we imagine it as a triangle, the distance from watch tower to the fire will be:

tan θ= opposite/adjacent

opposite=140 ft

adjacent = x

θ=3°

Thus;

tan 3 = 140/x

x=140/tan 3

x = 2,671.359 ft

Now, the distance from watch tower to windmill will be:

tan θ=opposite/ adjacent

θ=8°

opposite=140 ft

adjacent=y

thus

tan 8 = 140/y

y = 140/tan8

y=996.15 ft

Now, the distance between fire and wind mill will be:

x - y = 2671.359 - 996.15

x - y = 1675.209 ≈ 1675 ft

A line passes through the point (1,4) and is perpendicular to the line with equations y=-1/5x+2. what's the equation of the line
jekas [21]

To find the slope of the perpendicular line, you can take the negative reciprocal of the slope of the line it is perpendicular to.

Taking the negative reciprocal of -1/5 gives 5.

Now we have y=5x+b, where b is the y-intercept. Since we know that the perpendicular line passes through the point (1,4), we can substitute those values into the equation we have to find b.

y=5x+b

4=5(1)+b

4=5+b

b=-1

Therefore, the equation of the perpendicular line is y=5x-1.

Someone please please help me!!!! i need help!
alexandr1967 [171]
This one’s pretty easy because it’s a square meaning the corners will always be 90 degrees so if a line splits the 90 it becomes half which is 45. And the reason AEB is 90 is because it’s two top corners are 45 degrees so the last angle must make the whole triangle equal 180 degrees.
DBC=45
AEB=90
