I assume you want to find the value of w
The first thing we will do is divide both sides by 0.25
4/0.25 = 0.25(w - 4.3)/0.25
The two 0.25s cancel each other. 4/0.25 = 16
16 = w - 4.3
Now we add 4.3 to both sides
16 + 4.3 = w - 4.3 + 4.3
The two 4.3s cancel each other 16 + 4.3 = 20.3
20.3 = w
w = 20.3

W=20.30
You can search 4=0.25(w-4.3) and it tells u in a website it is 20.300

Answer:

x = 3 + 4\sqrt{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

OPQ is a right angle triangle.

<u>Using Pythagoras</u>

x^{2} + (x+5)^{2} = (x+8)^{2}\\x^{2} + x^{2} + 10x +25 = x^{2} + 16x + 64\\x^{2} + x^{2} - x^{2} + 10x - 16x + 25 - 64 = 0\\x^{2} - 6x -39 = 0

<u>Using quadratic formula</u>

<u />x = \frac{-b \± \sqrt{b^{2}-4ac}}{2a}\\x = \frac{-(-6) \± \sqrt{(-6)^{2}-4(1)(-39)}}{2(1)}\\x = \frac{6}{2} \± \frac{\sqrt{192}}{2}\\x = 3 \± \frac{8\sqrt{3}}{2}\\x = 3 \± 4\sqrt{3}

x = 3 + 4\sqrt{3} = 9.928(4s.f.)

             OR

x = 3 - 4\sqrt{3} = -3.928(4s.f.) (Length can't be negative)

∴ x = 3 + 4\sqrt{3}

Which of the following is the correct graph of the compound inequality 4p + 1 &lt; −11 or 6p + 3 &gt; 39?
mrs_skeptik [129]

The correct graph to the inequality is a number line with open dot at <em>negative 3</em> with shading to the left and an open dot at 6 with shading to the right. The correct option is the second option

<h3>Linear Inequalities </h3>

From the question, we are to determine the graph for the given compound inequality

The given compound inequality is

4p + 1 < −11 or 6p + 3 > 39

Solve the inequalities separately

4p + 1 < −11

4p < -11 - 1

4p < -12

p < -12/4

p < -3

OR

6p + 3 > 39

6p > 39 - 3

6p > 36

p > 36/6

p > 6

Thus,

p < -3 OR p > 6

Hence, the correct graph to the inequality is a number line with open dot at <em>negative 3</em> with shading to the left and an open dot at 6 with shading to the right. The correct option is the second option

What number is x if the equation is 2x-7=3
Elanso [62]

Hello there!

2x - 7 = 3

Solve for x

2x = 3 + 7

2x = 10

x = 10/2

x = 5

Therefore, the number of x in the equation is 5
