Answer:

Explanation:

angular velocity

ω = 1.65 rad /s

radius R = 2.70 m

angular displacement = 8.70 rad

a )

New position vector in vector form

= R cos8.7 i + R sin8.7 j

= 2.7 cos8.7 i + 2.7 sin8.7 j

= 2.7 x .748 i + 2.7 x .663 j

= 2.01 i + 1.79 j

b )

8.7 radian = 180/π x 8.7 degree

= 498.72 degree

= 498.72 - 360

= 138.72 degree

It will be in second quadrant .

angle made with positive x - axis

= 138.72 degree .

c )

velocity

v = ω R

= 1.65 x 2.7

= 4.455 m /s

d )

It is moving in a direction making 138.72° with positive x direction .

e )

acceleration will be centripetal acceleration

= v²/ R

= 4.455² / 2.7

= 7.35 m /s²

f ) force = mass x acceleration

= 3.8 x 7.35

= 27.93 N .

A 2.13-kg object on a frictionless horizontal track is attached to the end of a horizontal spring whose force constant is 5.00 N
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

17.54N in -x direction.

Explanation:

Amplitude (A) = 3.54m

Force constant (k) = 5N/m

Mass (m) = 2.13kg

Angular frequency ω = √(k/m)

ω = √(5/2.13)

ω = 1.53 rad/s

The force acting on the object F(t) = ?

F(t) = -mAω²cos(ωt)

F(t) = -2.13 * 3.54 * (1.53)² * cos (1.53 * 3.50)

F(t) = -17.65 * cos (5.355)

F(t) = -17.57N

The force is 17.57 in -x direction

What is your mass in kilograms if you weigh 120 pounds
schepotkina [342]

It depends where you are.

-- If you weigh 120 pounds on the Moon,
then your mass is  329.1 kilograms.

-- If you weigh 120 pounds on Mars,
 then your mass is  143.8 kilograms.

-- If you weigh 120  pounds on the Earth,
then your mass is  54.4 kilograms.

In a ballistics test, a 24 g bullet traveling horizontally at 1200 m/s goes through a 31-cm-thick 320 kg stationary target and e
Zanzabum

Answer:

The  velocity is  v_t  =  0.02175 \  m/s

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

   The  mass of the bullet is  m_b = 0.024 \ kg

    The initial speed of the bullet is  u_b  =  1200 \  m/s

   The mass of the target is  m_t = 320 \ kg

    The  initial velocity of target is  u_t  =  0  \ m/s

    The  final velocity of the bullet is  is  v_b = 910 \ m/s

Generally according to the law of momentum conservation we have that

      m_b *  u_b  +  m_t *  u_t  =  m_b *  v_b  +  m_t  *  v_t

=>   0.024  *  1200  +  320 *  0  =  0.024 *  910   +  320  *  v_t

=>    v_t  =  0.02175 \  m/s
