Because the fencing material will be placed after the first pen and before the 10th pen, the fencing material that the kennel owner have will have to be divided only by 9. This give us an answer of 30 ft.

The calculated 30 ft above is equal to the width of the pen. The width is calculated by dividing the area by the length. This gives us,
                  width = 100 ft² / 30 ft
                  width = 3.33 ft
The dimension of the rectangle is therefore, 33.3 ft width and the length of 30 ft.

The otherSites Squared10.A cylinder has a diameter of 12 meters and a height of 9 meters. What is thetotal surface area of the c
Gelneren [198K]

The total surface area of a cylinder is given by the formula

\begin{gathered} A_{cylinder}=2circular\text{ area+curved surface area} \\ =2\pi r^2+2\pi rh \end{gathered}

Given diameter, d=12meters, we will solve for radius

\begin{gathered} \text{diameter,d}=2\times radius,r \\ d=2r \\ r=\frac{d}{2} \\ r=\frac{12m}{2} \\ r=6m \end{gathered}

The height is given as 9meters

Substituting for r and h in the formula will give

\begin{gathered} A_{cylinder}=2\pi r^2+2\pi rh \\ r=6m;h=9m;\pi=3.14 \\ A_{cylinder}=2\times3.14\times6^2+2\times3.14\times6\times9_{} \end{gathered}\begin{gathered} A_{cylinder}=6.28\times36+6.28\times54 \\ =226.08+339.12 \\ =565.2m^2 \end{gathered}

Hence the surface area of the cylinder is 565.2m²

A certain animated movie earned $1.1*10^9 in revenues at the box office. The movie lasts 9.1*10^1 minutes. How much revenue was
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

$12,087,912.1

Step-by-step explanation:

1.1*10^9  is in scientific notation, to get this into normal number, we take the decimal point and move it "9" times to the right [whatever power of 10 we have, we move to right (if positive).] Then we fillup the rest with zeros.

So we have:

1.1*10^9=1,100,000,000

This is the revenue.

We do similar process for time:

9.1*10^1=91

This is the time , in minutes.

We want revenue PER minute, that means we divide the total revenue by total time, that would be:

\frac{1,100,000,000}{91}=12,087,912.1

The revenue earned per minute is  $12,087,912.1

48 just count the inside of the triangle which is difficult since all side aren’t a full square or count the outside border of the triangle and just multiply I did 6x8
