A current carrying loop of width a and length b is placed near a current carrying wire. How does the net force on the loop compa
makvit [3.9K]

Answer/ Explanation

the loop has no force and the wires cancel each other but the wire on the loop has a force

The segment a get the same force for both but in the loop segment b get an opposite force so the net force on the loop is smaller

The loop wire has forces that all cancel out while the other straight wire doesn't.

Why does apparent depth of different liquids vary
Anvisha [2.4K]
It’s due to the refraction of light rays as they traverse the boundary between water and air. The greater the viewing angle, the more the bending of the light and therefore the less the apparent depth. An object placed in a denser medium, when viewed from rarer medium appears to be at a lesser depth than its real depth due to refraction of light.

Volcanic mountains can only form on the ocean floor?

True

False
marissa [1.9K]
The answer to this is true. Usually when a volcano forms it starts off from the ocean floor then it will form up towards the surface. Volcanoes are also known for creating new islands like for example The Hawaiian Chain, it was created by volcanoes. in order for the islands to form, the plates in the ocean floor aka where the volcanoes are located has to push up another rock aka an island. Molten rock falls into the ocean and hardens creating a new island.
