This is a tough one.
In A, B, and C, there are various routes to get from one end to the other end through 2 or 3 capacitors.
D is the only configuration where it's possible to get from one end to the other through only 1 of them.
I'm not totally confident, but I think D is the one that's not like the others.

An ideal air-filled parallel-plate capacitor has round plates and carries a fixed amount of equal but opposite charge on its pla
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

The new energy density is same as initial energy density u0 as it is independent of plate dimensions

Explanation:

As we know that energy density is total energy per unit volume

so we know that isolated plates of capacitor is placed here

C = \frac{\epsilon_0 A}{d}

here we have energy density given as

u = \frac{Q^2}{2(\epsilon_0 A/d)} Ad

so we have

u = \frac{Q^2d^2}{2\epsilon_0}

so it is independent of the dimensions of the plate while total charge on the plates is constant always

so energy density will not change and remains the same

A pirate ship shoots a cannon towards an oncoming ship. The cannon ball has a mass of 25 kg and the ship has a mass of 2500 kg.
mars1129 [50]

Answer:

25 m/s in the opposite direction with the ship recoil velocity.

Explanation:

Assume the ship recoil velocity and velocity of the cannon ball aligns. By the law of momentum conservation, the momentum is conserved before and after the shooting. Before the shooting, the total momentum is 0 due to system is at rest. Therefore, the total momentum after the shooting must also be 0:

m_sv_s + m_bv_b = 0

where m_s = 2500 kg, m_b = 25 kg are masses of the ship and ball respectively. v_s = 0.25 m/s, v_b are the velocities of the ship and ball respectively, after the shooting.

2500*0.25 + 25*v_b = 0

25v_b = -2500*0.25

v_b = -2500*0.25/25 = -25 m/s

So the cannon ball has a velocity of 25 m/s in the opposite direction with the ship recoil velocity.

Explain Quantum physics in a summarised, simple way. Thanks!
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer:

Quantum mechanics was one of the two great revolutions in modern physics. The first, or Einstein's relativity, was in fact the pinnacle of classical physics. But quantum mechanics and related theories completely changed the world of science and philosophy, and it was the end of classical physics.

Like Einstein relativity, we all use quantum mechanics on a daily basis, but its mathematical principles are very complex and beyond the reach of ordinary people without a degree in physics or mathematics.

In this post, I have tried to make this theory more accessible to all interested loved ones by stating the quantum theory and its consequences for the public.
