Don't be blinded by all the super-technical stuff about satellites and orbits here.

All it's asking you is:

  --  here's the radius of a circle
--  here's how long it takes to go around the circle
--  how fast are you traveling around the circle ?

I hope that's less scary.
_____________________________

Circumference of a circle =

                           (pi) x (diameter)

                        = (pi) x (2 x radius)

                        =  (5 pi) x 10¹² meters .

Time to go around the circle =  2 x 10⁶ seconds

Speed = (distance) / (time)

           = (5 pi x 10¹² m) / (2 x 10⁶ sec)

           =  2.5 pi x 10⁶  m/s

           =       7.85 x 10⁶  m/s

Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

You should compare your results and data with your original hypothesis.  It is okay to have a hypothesis that was shown to be false.  That's science. Things do not always work out.  You can always discuss what you could have done differently and things that went wrong.  There is no right answer in science!

Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

20000 pounds

Explanation:

Generally 1 gallon of fuel burnt gives of 20 pounds of CO₂

Difference in the gallons of fuel burnt

\dfrac{60000}{20}-\dfrac{60000}{30}=1000\ gal

The 20 mpg car burns 1000 gallons of fuel more than the 30 mpg car

The amount of CO₂ would be

1000\times 20=20000\ pounds

The fewer pounds that the 30 mpg car would release is 20000 pounds
