Pseudoscience includes things like theories, beliefs, or practices that have been or are considered scientific, but have no basis in scientific fact. This could mean they were disproved scientifically, can not be tested or lack evidence to support them.

How does artificial transmutation differ from nuclear decay
Yuki888 [10]

Explanation:

In both cases the conversion of one chemical element into another is obtained, modifying the number of protons in the nucleus. The difference is that artificial transmutation needs an outside cause, since an outside particle reacts with the nucleus, while in nuclear  decay not cause outside is needed.

How much heat is needed to raise the temperature of 4.68kg of lead from 25.0c to 62.0
qwelly [4]

Answer:

22510.8J

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of lead  = 4.68kg

Initial temperature  = 25°C

Final temperature  = 62°C

Unknown:

The heat needed to cause this temperature change = ?

Solution:

To solve this problem, we use the expression below:

       H = m c Ф

H is the quantity of heat

m is the mass

c is the specific heat capacity

Ф is the temperature change

   So;

 Specific heat capacity of lead  = 130J/kg°C

 Insert the parameters and solve;

   H = 4.68 x 130 x (62 - 25) = 22510.8J

Describe 2 applications of surface tension
Andrews [41]
Application of surface tension:
1) A needle placed on water can be made to float due to the surface tension of water.
2) Mosquito eggs can float on water because of its surface tension.
3) Toothpaste contains soap, which reduce the surface tension and helps it spread freely in the mouth.
