Answer:

The product is x² + 5x + 6 which is same with the product of (x + 3)(x + 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the smaller square or rectangle to find the product of (x + 3)(x + 2) , we find the area of each rectangle or square. The area means multiplying the length of each square or rectangle to it width.

The first row can be multiplied with each column as follow

x² + x + x + x = x² + 3x

second row with each column

x + 1 + 1 + 1 = x +3

third row with each column

x + 1 + 1 + 1 = x + 3

adding the whole results

x² + 3x + x + 3 + x + 3 = x² + 5x + 6 which is the same as the product of (x + 3)(x + 2)

Probability of landing in the white not the red. Please helpppppppppppp!
Iteru [2.4K]

Fun, geometry disguised as probability.

That's a pentagon, which we can view as 10 right triangles with legs a and s/2 (half of s) and hypotenuse r. So area of the pentagon is

P = 10 × (1/2) a (s/2) = 10 (1/2) (3.2) (4.7/2) = 37.6

The area of the circle is πr² so the circle area is

C = π (4²) = 50.265482

The white area is the difference, C-P, and the probability we seek is the fraction of the circle that's white, so (C-P)/C.

p = (C-P)/C =1-P/C = 1-37.6/50.265482 = 0.251971

Answer: 0.25

Higher than I would have guessed from the figure.

For the first one

13(6)+ 4(4)

78+16=94

For the second one

(6+4)*13

(10)*13= 130

Family has an annual income of $23 comma 400. Of this, one fourth
denis23 [38]

Amount spent for food = $5850, housing = $4680, clothing = $2340, savings = $2600, taxes = $5850, expenses = $2080.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

Given details are Total Income = $23,400

Step 2:

Amount spent for food, F= 1/4th of 23,400 = 1/4 \times 23400

= $5850

Step 3:

Amount spent for housing, H = 1/5th of 23,400 = 1/5 \times23400

= $4680

Step 4:

Amount spent for clothing, C = 1/10th of 23,400 = 1/10 \times 23400 = $2340

Step 5:

Amount spent for savings, S = 1/9th of 13,400 = 1/9\times 23400 = $2600

Step 6:

Amount spent for taxes, T = 1/4th of 23,400 = 1/4 \times 23400 =$5850

Step 7:

Find amount spent on other expenses by totaling all expenditures and subtracting from the annual income.

Annual Income = F + H + C + S + T + E

Amount spent on other expenses, E = 23400 - (5850 + 4680 + 2340 + 2600 + 5850)

E = 23400 - 21320

E = $2080
