Answer:

fossil fuel

Explanation:

Renewable source of energy are energy sources that does not deplete but is replenished even after prolong usage. Example of renewable source of energy are sunlight, wind, hydro power and geothermal energy.

Non renewable source of energy are energy source that depletes after prolong usage. This energy source are not renewable . Example of such energy sources are fossil fuel .Non renewable energy sources like fossil fuel produces more greenhouse gas emission than renewable sources. This energy source like the fossil fuel(oil, gas and coal) takes a very long time to replenish. Generally, nonrenewable sources of energy causes more pollution to the sea and air. Crude oil spillage in the sea has been known to cause migration or death of sea animals.

All the other options are renewable sources of energy except for fossil fuel which is a nonrenewable sources of energy. Wind , hydro and geothermal energy does not deplete .

Answer:

The maximum number of days for the trip

Explanation:

Given

d = 1.06(212 - t) --- Missing Equation

Required

What does d represent?

From the question, we understand that t represent the number of days;

So, by default 212 represent days

Going further:

For the equation, d = 1.06(212 - t) to be valid; the value of t must be within the interval;

0 \le t \le 212

When t = 0;

that is the beginning of the journey

As t increases;

212 - t decreases

Until the point where t = 212,

This signifies the end of the journey

So: 212 - t indicates a particular day between 0 and 212.

Hence, 212 represents the maximum number of days for the trip.

How much energy is stored in a 2.80-cm-diameter, 14.0-cm-long solenoid that has 200 turns of wire and carries a current of 0.800
ozzi

Answer:

The energy stored in the solenoid is 7.078 x 10⁻⁵ J

Explanation:

Given;

diameter of the solenoid, d = 2.80 cm

radius of the solenoid, r = d/2 = 1.4 cm

length of the solenoid, L = 14 cm = 0.14 m

number of turns, N = 200 turns

current in the solenoid, I = 0.8 A

The cross sectional area of the solenoid is given as;

A = \pi r^2\\\\A = \pi (0.014)^2\\\\A = 6.16*10^{-4} \ m^2

The inductance of the solenoid is given by;

L = \frac{\mu_0 N^2A}{l} \\\\L =  \frac{(4\pi*10^{-7})(200^2)(6.16*10^{-4})}{0.14}\\\\L = 2.212*10^{-4} \ H

The energy stored in the solenoid is given by;

E = ¹/₂LI²

E = ¹/₂(2.212 x 10⁻⁴)(0.8)²

E = 7.078 x 10⁻⁵ J

Therefore, the energy stored in the solenoid is 7.078 x 10⁻⁵ J

a) Average velocity for her run north: 2.68 m/s north

b) The average velocity for the whole trip is zero

c) The average speed for the whole trip is 1.95 m/s

Explanation:

a)

In this part of the problem we only want to consider the part when Micha is running north.

The average velocity is given by:

v=\frac{d}{t}

where

d is the displacement (a vector connecting the initial position to the final position of motion)

t is the time

For the part running north, we have

d=2 mil \cdot 1609 = 3218 m north is the displacement

t = 20 min \cdot 60 = 1200 s is the time interval

Substituting,

v=\frac{3218}{1200}=2.68 m/s north (we have to specify also the direction, since velocity is a vector)

b)

As we said, average velocity is given by

v=\frac{d}{t}

where

d is the displacement

t is the time

If we consider the whole trip, however, the displacement is zero:

d = 0

Because Micha returns home, so the initial position corresponds to the final position of motion. Therefore, the average velocity is also zero:

v = 0

c)

The average speed is given by

s=\frac{d}{t}

where

d is the  distance covered (the total length of the path, regardless of the direction)

t is the time interval

Since MIcha ran 2 miles north and then 2 miles back, the total distance is

d=2 mi + 2mi = 4 mi \cdot 1609 = 6436 m

And the time taken is

t=20 min + 15 min + 20 min = 55 min \cdot 60 = 3300 s

So, the average speed is

s=\frac{6436}{3300}=1.95 m/s

And since speed is a scalar, there is no need to specify a direction.

What is the correct formula for power? A. Power = work / time B. Power = work * time C. Power = force * distance D. Power = work
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

A. Power = Work / Time

Explanation:

Power is the amount of work done over time, or rather the rate of work, which is given by the unit of watts (W). Since work is defined by Force * Displacement, we can also say Power = Force * Displacement / Time.
