Answer:

25 pascals

Explanation:

Given,

Force ( F ) = 5 N

Area ( a ) = 0.2 m²

To find : Pressure ( P ) = ?

Formula : -

P = F / a

P = 5 / 0.2

= 50 / 2

P = 25 pascals

MAVERICK [17]

Answer:

0.5864 m

Explanation:

r_1 = 0.705 m

\omega_1 = 10 rpm

\omega_2 = 20.5 rpm

\left(m r_{1}^{2}\right) \omega_{1} &=\left(m r_{2}^{2}\right) \omega_{2}

r_{2}^{2} &=\frac{\left(m r_{1}^{2}\right) \omega_{1}}{\left(\omega_{2}\right)}

=\frac{\left(r_{1}^{2}\right) \omega_{1}}{\left(\omega_{2}\right)}

=\frac{\left((0.705 \mathrm{m})^{2}\right)(10 \mathrm{rpm})}{(20.5 \mathrm{rpm})}

=\sqrt{\frac{\left((0.705 \mathrm{m})^{2}\right)(10 \mathrm{rpm})}{(20.5 \mathrm{rpm})}}

r_{2} =0.5864\ m

The weights are 0.5864 m apart.

In an electric vehicle, each wheel is powered by its own motor. The vehicle weight is 4,000 lbs. By regenerative braking, its sp
Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

the theoretical maximum energy in kWh that can be recovered during this interval is 0.136 kWh

Explanation:

Given that;

weight of vehicle = 4000 lbs

we know that 1 kg = 2.20462

so

m = 4000 / 2.20462 =  1814.37 kg

Initial velocity V_{i} = 60 mph = 26.8224 m/s

Final velocity V_{f} = 30 mph = 13.4112 m/s

now we determine change in kinetic energy

Δk = \frac{1}{2}m(  V_{i}² - V_{f}² )

we substitute

Δk = \frac{1}{2}×1814.37( (26.8224)² - (13.4112)² )

Δk = \frac{1}{2} × 1814.37 × 539.5808

Δk = 489500 Joules

we know that; 1 kilowatt hour = 3.6 × 10⁶ Joule

so

Δk = 489500 / 3.6 × 10⁶

Δk = 0.13597 ≈ 0.136 kWh

Therefore, the theoretical maximum energy in kWh that can be recovered during this interval is 0.136 kWh

A child throws a baseball directly upward. What are the signs of the velocity and acceleration of the ball at the very top of th
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

velocity zero and acceleration negative

Explanation:

According to the directions taken in the vector analysis, the direction which is upwards taken as positive, the direction which is downwards is taken as negative.

The direction which is rightwards taken as positive and the direction which is leftwards taken as negative.

here, ball throws vertically upwards and it attains a maximum height. At maximum height the magnitude of velocity is zero but the acceleration is always acting downwards so it is taken as negative in sign.

Do you think it is easier or harder to hammer a nail into a floorboard on Pluto than on Earth? How about the Sun? Explain.
Serggg [28]

Explanation:

It would be easier to lift the  hammer, during the nailing, in Pluto than on earth but it would require more hammer jacks to drive the nail through the  floorboard. This is because the gravity on Pluto is weaker than on Earth. The additional acceleration of the hammer (due to gravity) would be lesser hence you would require to put in a bit more energy for the downforce of the hammer.

On the sun, it would be difficult to lift the hammer than here on earth. This is because the gravity of the sun is much greater than on earth. If you would manage to lift the hammer, the downforce of the hammer on the nail would have an added acceleration of the gravity of the sun hence the force of the hammer hitting the nail would be higher hence rapidly driving it through the floorboard.
