If the required difference is 600 mi, lets start of counting by 10s and multiplying the current number
800-700 = 100
1600-1400 = 200
2400-2100 = 300
3200-2800 = 400
4000-3500 = 500
4800-4200 = 600
if 60 hours pass, they will be 600 miles away from each other.
counting by 10 each time will help with problems like or similar to this.

Let make time = x
70x + 80x = 600
add like terms
150x = 600
isolate the x
150x / 150 = 600 / 150
x = 4

verify
4 * 70 = 280
4 * 80 = 320
280 + 320 = 600

Answer:

for 18 x is 6 and for 20 it is 11

Step-by-step explanation:

For 18, since -1+2x and 5+x is the same thing, set up and equation. WE can simplify to -1+x=5 and then we get x=6

For 20, 18 is 11 since 18=-4+2x. If we simplify we get 22=2x then we can use algebra to say that x=11

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

Hi, I'm currently a sophomore (10th grader) and my biggest advice would be don't give into peer presssure when it comes to choosing classes. Only take classes that you feel you are able to handle and succeed in, don't take high level classes just because your friends are!
