Meteoroids are small objects in space, usually made of rock or metal. These bodies often get close to a planet and fall through

its atmosphere. A burning streak of light, called a ,{ ASTEROID, COMET, METEOR, METEOROID } is visible as it falls through the sky. Sometimes the object does not burn up completely and a part of it survives the fall to the planet’s surface. These rocky bodies, called { ASTEROID, COMET, METEOR, METEOROID } , are studied by scientists to gain a better understanding of our solar system.

Answer:

1. A burning streak of light, called a Meteor.

2.The rocky bodies that survives the fall to the planet’s surface are Meteorites.

Explanation:

Let us see the difference between them.

  1. Asteroids: They are the remnants of a broken planet orbiting the sun in between Mars and Saturn.  They are small rocky bodies from a tennis ball size to larger ones weighing a few tones.
  2. Meteoroids: They are the small rocky objects of pebble size formed due to the collision of asteroids.
  3. Meteors: These are pebble size objects that enter Earth's atmosphere and burns off by forming streaks of light.
  4. Meteorites: These are rocky objects bigger than meteors than don't burn out completely and fall on the earth's surface.
  5. Comets:  These are objects mainly made of dust and ice that orbit the sun in a highly elliptical orbit. This composition makes a long tail when approaching the sun.

With nonreturn to zero signaling, the voltage alternates between zero and a positive or negative voltage. True False
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer:

False.

Explanation:

No. Voltage does not alternate between zero and positive or negative. In non return signaling (NRZ) voltage at zero represents the 0 bit and at the positive represent the 1 bit. NRZ is one of the signal levels of uni polar Scheme in which the signal does not return to zero at the middle of it. For example 10110. That is why it named as the non return signaling.

790 kilometers/hour for a distance of 4,700 kilometers
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Time = (distance) / (average speed)

Time = (4,700 km) / (790 km/hr) = 5.9494 hours (rounded)

                                                  = 5hrs 56min 58 sec (rounded)

    (4,700 km) / (1.609344 km/mile) = 2,920 miles

Speed = (distance covered) / (time to cover the distance)

                      (2,929 miles) / 5.9494 hours) =  491 miles per hour

A student walks (2.9±0.1)m, stops and then walks another (3.9 ±0.2)m in the same direction. What is the largest distance the stu
stepan [7]

Answer:

7.1 m

Explanation:

Given:

Distance traveled by the student in the first attempt = (2.9 \pm 0.1)\ m

Distance traveled by the student in the second attempt = (3.9 \pm 0.2)\ m

So, the maximum distance that the student could travel in this attempt = (2.9+0.1)\ m = 3.0\ m

So, the maximum distance that the student could travel in this attempt = (3.9+0.2)\ m = 4.1\ m

Since the student first moves straight in a particular direction, rests for a while and then moves some distance in the same direction.

So, the largest distance that the student could possibly be from the starting point would be the largest distance of the final position of the student from the starting point.

And this distance is equal to the sum of the maximum distance possible in the first attempt and the second attempt of walking which is 7.1 m.

Hence, the largest distance that the student could possibly be from the starting point is 7.1 m.
