Answer:

- 91499.95 V

Explanation:

Let the mid point is P.

qA = 3.4 pC = 3.4 x 10^-12 C

qB = - 6.10 micro Coulomb = - 6.10 x 10^-6 C

AB = 1.20 m

AP = BP = 0.6 m

Let the potential at P due to the charge at A is VA and the potential at P due to the charge at B is VB.

The potential at P is V

V = VA + VB

V = \frac{Kq_{A}}{AP}+\frac{Kq_{B}}{BP}

V = \frac{9\times 10^{9}\times 3.4\times 10^{-12}}{0.6}-\frac{9\times 10^{9}\times 6.10\times 10^{-6}}{0.6}

V = 0.051 - 91500

V = - 91499.95 V

A charged comb picking up bits of paper is an example of electrical conduction.
Elina [12.6K]
Yes. As bits of paper comes in electric field of charged comb, it attracts paper towards itself by a force called it's 'Electric force" & that process of flow of electrons is called "Electrical Conduction"

In short, Your Answer would be "True"

Hope this helps!

A person, with his ear to the ground, sees a huge stone strike the concrete pavement. A moment later two sounds are heard from t
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

309 m

Explanation:

time apart = 0.8 s

speed of sound in air = 343 m/s

speed of sound in concrete = 3000 m/s

lets assume it time it takes to travel trough concrete = T

the time it takes to travel through air = T + 0.8 since they are 0.8 s apart

the distance traveled by both waves is the same, so we can equate the distance for both waves

distance  = speed x time

  • for concrete, distance = 3000 x T
  • for air, distance = 343 x (T + 0.8)

now equating the two distance together we have

3000 x T  = 343 x (T + 0.8)

3000T = 343T + 274.4

3000T - 343T = 274.4

T = 0.103 s

recall that distance = 3000 x T = 3000 x 0.103 = 309 m
