Answer: When the egg is not fertilized.

Explanation:

Menstruation can be defined as the biological phenomenon in which the inner lining of uterus sheds along with mucosal tissue and blood.

It starts at the age of puberty and ends at the age between 45 to 50. When the body prepares uterus for pregnancy it releases eggs from ovary and thickens the uterus for implantation.

But when the eggs are not fertilized, then it is shed off from the uterus known as menstruation which lasts from 2-7 days every month.

photoshop1234 [79]

From the options provided in the question, the measurement which is not an SI base unit is volume.

<h3>What is SI base unit?</h3>

This is referred to as the standard and fundamental unit of measurement of various quantities or variables which is defined arbitrarily and not by combinations of other units.

Volume is a quantity which is derived from the combination of lengths in a  three-dimensional manner which is why the formula is length× breadth×height and the unit is cm³. This is gotten from the combination of the unit of length which is cm.

This is therefore the reason why volume was chosen as the most appropriate choice.

A 7.0 mm -diameter copper ball is charged to 40 nC. What fraction of its electrons have been removed? The density of copper is 8
mylen [45]

Answer:

f = 2.6 \times 10^{-13}

Explanation:

Let the mass of copper ball is "m" gram

now the total number of copper atom present in the ball is given as

N = \frac{m}{29} \times 6.02 \times 10^{23}

now the total number of electrons in one copper atom is 29

so total number of electrons in given sample of copper ball is

N_e = m(6.02 \times 10^{29})

now diameter of the ball is 7.0 mm

density of the ball = 8900 kg/m^3

now we have

m = (\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3)(8900)

m = (\frac{4}{3}\pi(\frac{0.007}{2})^3)(8900)

m = 1.6 gram

now we have

N_e = 9.63 \times 10^{23}

now the charge on the copper ball is 40 nC

so the number of electrons removed

Q = ne

40 \times 10^{-9} = n(1.6 \times 10^{-19}

n = 2.5 \times 10^{11}

so the fraction of number of electrons removed is given as

f = \frac{n}{N_e}

f = \frac{2.5 \times 10^{11}}{9.63 \times 10^{23}}

f = 2.6 \times 10^{-13}

An alpha particle (α), which is the same as a helium-4 nucleus, is momentarily at rest in a region of space occupied by an elec

Answer:

Speed = 575 m/s

Mechanical energy is conserved in electrostatic, magnetic and gravitational forces.

Explanation:

Given :

Potential difference, U = $-3.45 \times 10^{-3} \ V$

Mass of the alpha particle, $m_{\alpha} = 6.68 \times 10^{-27} \ kg$

Charge of the alpha particle is, $q_{\alpha} = 3.20 \times 10^{-19} \ C$

So the potential difference for the alpha particle when it is accelerated through the potential difference is

$U=\Delta Vq_{\alpha}$

And the kinetic energy gained by the alpha particle is

$K.E. =\frac{1}{2}m_{\alpha}v_{\alpha}^2 $

From the law of conservation of energy, we get

$K.E. = U$

$\frac{1}{2}m_{\alpha}v_{\alpha}^2 = \Delta V q_{\alpha}$

$v_{\alpha} = \sqrt{\frac{2 \Delta V q_{\alpha}}{m_{\alpha}}}$

$v_{\alpha} = \sqrt{\frac{2(3.45 \times 10^{-3 })(3.2 \times 10^{-19})}{6.68 \times 10^{-27}}}$

$v_{\alpha} \approx 575 \ m/s$

The mechanical energy is conserved in the presence of the following conservative forces :

-- electrostatic forces

-- magnetic forces

-- gravitational forces

Please help me with this question someone
Gekata [30.6K]
From the answers provided, I believe the possible answer would be the last option, silicon, oxygen, and one or more metals. Here's my reasoning: the most abundant mineral group found in the Earth's crust is the silicate group. The silicate materials contain both oxygen and silicon. Silicates are the most common minerals in the rock-formation process, and it has, in fact, been estimated that they make up 75 to 90 percent of the Earth's crust. From this piece of evidence, I can guess that the answer will possibly be D, silicon, oxygen, and one or more metals.
It should also be noted that the additional elements that combine with the silicon-oxygen tetrahedron are involved with the other elements commonly found in the Earth's crust and mantle. They are aluminum, calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium and sodium.
