Simply cross multiply:
18*m = 6*15
18m = 90
m = 5

Please solve this simultaneous equation, i'm not that good at it.<br><br> 2r-s=10<br> rs-s^2=12
o-na [289]

Answer:

s = 6, r = 8 or s = 4, r = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

2r - s = 10

2r = 10 + s

r = 5 + s/2 --(1)

rs - s^2 = 12 --(2)

sub (1) into (2):

(5 + s/2)s - s^2 = 12

5s + 0.5s^2 - s^2 = 12

-0.5s^2 + 5s - 12 = 0

s^2 - 10s + 24 = 0

(s - 6)(s - 4) = 0

therefore s = 6 or s = 4

when s = 6, r = 8 and when s = 4, r = 7

What is 96-8c=20-12
galben [10]

Answer:

c = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

96 - 8c = 20 - 12 , that is

96 - 8c = 8 ( subtract 96 from both sides )

- 8c = - 88 ( divide both sides by - 8 )

c = 11

What are the ratios of sine, cosine, and tangent for angle Y? sin(Y) = StartFraction X Z Over X Y EndFraction; cos(Y) = StartFra
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

\sin Y= \frac{XZ}{XY}

\cos Y= \frac{YZ}{XY}

\tan Y= \frac{XZ}{YZ}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See attachment for triangle

Required

Find \sin, \cos and \tan of angle Y

For angle Y:

Opposite = XZ

Adjacent = YZ

Hypotenuse = XY

The \sin of an angle is calculated as:

\sin\theta = \frac{Opposite}{Hypotenuse}

So:

\sin Y= \frac{XZ}{XY}

The \cos of an angle is calculated as:

\cos\theta = \frac{Adjacent}{Hypotenuse}

So:

\cos Y= \frac{YZ}{XY}

The \tan of an angle is calculated as:

\tan\theta = \frac{Opposite}{Adjacent}

So:

\tan Y= \frac{XZ}{YZ}
