Answer:

b. Pascal

Explanation:

Pressure is defined as the ratio between a force and the surface area on which the force is applied:

p=\frac{F}{A}

where F is the force and A is the area.

The force is measured in Newtons (N), while the area is measured in squared meters (m^2), so the Pascal (Pa), which is the units of measure of the pressure, is defined as:

[Pa]=\frac{[N]}{[m^2]}

Late one night on a highway, a car speeds by you and fadesinto the distance. Under these conditions the pupils of your eyes(aver
Andrews [41]

Answer:

10432.19076 m

Explanation:

\lambda = Wavelength = 660 nm

d = Diameter of pupils = 6 mm

s = Distance between lights = 1.4 m

L = Distance from observer

From Rayleigh's criteria we have

1.22\lambda=dsin\theta

As \theta is small sin\theta=\dfrac{s}{L}

So, the equation becomes

1.22\lambda=d\dfrac{s}{L}\\\Rightarrow L=\dfrac{ds}{1.22\lambda}\\\Rightarrow L=\dfrac{6\times 10^{-3}\times 1.4}{1.22\times 660\times 10^{-9}}\\\Rightarrow L=10432.19076\ m

The car is 10432.19076 m from me

A force of 31 N south is used to accelerate an object uniformly from rest to 8 m/s in 22 s. What is the mass of the object?
harina [27]

this question is centered around newtons second law f=ma

First you need to find the acceleration

acceleration = \frac{8 - 0}{22}

that gives you 0.36 recurring(on both numbers) m/s²

mass= force ÷ acceleration

mass = \frac{31}{0.36recurring}

mass= 85.25 kg

if you want to check

f=ma

85.25 × 0.36 recurring (remember its on both numbers not just 6) = 31 N
