Is straining cooked pasta from water a physical or chemical separation
Leviafan [203]
It is a physical separation.

Only chemical separation involves the changing of substances and their bondings, which usually involves the use of heat or electricity. Meanwhile, physical changes does not require breaking the bonds of substances or changing a substance to another, common examples of physical separations are such as filtration or distillation.

Since straining pasta from water does not require breaking the pasta or water to other substances, plus heat and electricity is not involved, therefore this is a type of physical separation.

melamori03 [73]
During   pyruvate  processing ,  the   two  carbons  from  pyruvate  combine   with  co-enzyme  A . Pyruvate   oxidation   converts   pyruvate  (a three  carbon  molecules)  into  acetyl  co  A(a   2  carbon  molecules)  which  it  attach  to  co  enzyme  A  to   produce  NADHN,A,D,H   and  also  release   one  carbon  dioxide   molecules   in the  process.

Magnesium reacts with hydrochloric acid, HCl, to form magnesium chloride and hydrogen gas. The reaction is: Mg + 2HCl → MgCl2 +
prisoha [69]
Answer is: mass of HCl is 15,6 g.
Chemical reaction: Mg + 2HCl → MgCl₂ + H₂.
m(Mg) = 5,2 g.
n(Mg) = m(Mg) ÷ M(Mg).
n(Mg) = 5,2 g ÷ 24,3 g/mol.
n(Mg) = 0,213 mol.
From chemical reaction: n(Mg) : n(HCl) = 1 : 2.
n(HCl) = 0,426 mol.
m(HCl) = 0,426 mol · 36,45 g/mol.
m(HCl) = 15,6 g.
