The general trend for hormones after ovulation as an individual when it approaches menstruation is that hormone levels generally rise. This increase levels of estrogen and progesterone would cause a negative feedback to the hypothalamus and the pituitary, which would result in the decline of the FSH and LH. BTW: Not to be TMI but i started mine and there is nothing to be scared of.

Can a parent with dark brown hair and one with blonde hair have a normal (lightish/auburn) brown hair?
andriy [413]

Basically it is more complex then just one locus gene interaction, but basically if both parents have brown hair they can have a child with blonde hair because both parents could be heterozygous for brown and pass on the recessive allele for blonde hair. in simple genetic analysis this would happen to 25% of the children.

When a peptide hormone reaches its target cell, which event happens next?
oksano4ka [1.4K]
They are unable to pass through the plasma membrane and have different methods of action. They attach to their receptors in the target cell surface and influence activity within the cell through cytoplasmic intermediates called second messengers.

The two most important messengers are cAMP and inositol triphosphate.

Cyclic AMP: ATP is converted into cAMP after a series of reactions on the plasma membrane following the attachment of the hormone to the membrane. cAMP relays the signal from the membrane to the metabolic machinery of the cytoplasm.
