When applying newton’s law of universal gravitation: Fg = G(m1•m2) divided by r^2

we have to rearrange to find the distance, or r^2

Plug in your known values:

G = 6.67x10^-11
m1 = 4 kg
m2 = 7kg
Fg = 2.99x10^10

Unknown:
r^2

Rearranging, we get:

r^2 • Fg = Gm1m2
divide by Fg to get r^2 alone

and boom! take the square root of 6.67x10^-11 • 4 • 7 (divided by) 2.99x10^10 and you will get 2.49 or 2.5 m as your final answer! Hope this was detailed enough to prevent future issues!

Two point sources, vibrating in phase, produce an interferencepattern in a ripple tank. If the frequency is increased by 20%, th
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

option A

Explanation:

given,

frequency is increased by 20%

we know,

\dfrac{x_n}{L}d = (n-\dfrac{1}{2})\times \lambda...........(1)

where

x_n is the perpendicular distance between the point the interference pattern is obtained,

L is the distance between the center of the two point sources

and λ is  the wavelength of light.

If the frequency is increased by 20%, then the number of nodal lines is increased by 20%.

From equation (1),we observe that the frequency is directly proportional to the number of nodal lines.

Hence, the correct answer is option A

A cube has a density of 1900 kg/m 3 kg/m3 while at rest in the laboratory. What is the cube's density as measured by an experime
Deffense [45]

Answer:

4847.94844926 kg/m³

Explanation:

\rho' = Actual density of cube = 1900 kg/m³

\rho = Density change due to motion

v = Velocity of cube = 0.92c

c = Speed of light = 3\times 10^8\ m/s

Relativistic density is given by

\rho=\dfrac{\rho'}{\sqrt{1-\dfrac{v^2}{c^2}}}\\\Rightarrow \rho=\dfrac{1900}{\sqrt{1-\dfrac{0.92^2c^2}{c^2}}}\\\Rightarrow \rho=\dfrac{1900}{\sqrt{1-0.92^2}}\\\Rightarrow \rho=4847.94844926\ kg/m^3

The cube's density as measured by an experimenter in the laboratory is 4847.94844926 kg/m³

Which theory proposes that the moon was a passing asteroid pulled into orbit by Earth's gravity?
kolezko [41]
The correct answer to the question above is the capture theory. The capture theory proposes that the moon was a passing asteroid pulled into the orbit by the Earth's gravity. It says that the moon was originally orbiting the sun, not the Earth.
