The  hydrogen ion concentration, [H ], in the solution of phenol red solution of pH 11.20 is 6.3 X 10^{-12} moles/litre.

Explanation:

Data given:

basic solution of phenol red is given as it has pH of 11.2

hydrogen ion concentration = ?

the hydrogen ion concentration is calculated by using the following formula:

pH = -log_{10} [H^{+}]

Rearranging the equation:

[H^{+}]  = \frac{1}{10^{pH} }

Putting the values in the above equation:

[H^{+}] = \frac{1}{10^{11.2} }

[H^{+}] = 6.3 X 10^{-12} moles/litre

The hydrogen ion concentration is very small and the solution of phenol red is basic in nature. The pH of 11.2 also indicates that solution is basic and teh color of the solution is bright pink.

Robert Boyle put chemistry on a firm scientific footing, transforming it from a field bogged down in alchemy and mysticism into one based on measurement. He defined elements, compounds, and mixtures, and he coined the new term 'chemical analysis, a field in which he made several powerful contributions.

Write a transmutation nuclear equation that represents an example of fission
morpeh [17]

Answer:

²³⁸₉₂U →  ²³⁴₉₀Th  + ⁴₂He

Explanation:

Nuclei higher than Bi - 92 naturally are radioactive.

In a transmutation reaction, a new element is produced from an existing one due to radioactivity.

Nuclear fission is the radioactive process by which a heavy nucleus spontaneously decays into lighter ones with the release of a large amount of energy.

 One example is the transmutation of uranium into thorium;

         ²³⁸₉₂U →  ²³⁴₉₀Th  + ⁴₂He

Answer:

The illustration represents the mitochondria of the cells.

Explanation:

The image shows the structure of a mitochondrion, whose shape is "ovoid", which contains two membranes, a folded inner and a smooth outer, observing invaginations (mitochondrial ridges). This article contains the enzymes for the Krebs cycle, oxidative phosphorylation being responsible for the energy generator for the maintenance of cellular activity.
