Inverses

solve for x
replace x with f inverse
replace y with x

so
first minus 2 both sides
y-2=√(2x-3)
square both sides
y^2-4y+4=2x-3
add 3 to both sides
y^2-4y+7=2x
divide both sides y 2
(y^2-4y+7)/2=x

x turns to f inverse and y turns to x

f(x)⁻¹=\frac{x^{2}-4x+7}{2}

looks like they didn't want to expand the binomial

y=\frac{(x-2)^{2}}+3}{2}

(URGENT!!!) Can someone help me with this? For part a), would the equation A=200(15)^m=395 work? In part b), can't I just factor
Levart [38]
A.) 200+15m=395. This is because the initial price is 200, and after that she will add $15/month. The equation you chose would be exponential, meaning the rate would increase as time passed, which is not the case. Instead, the rate is constant, and the only think that changes is m, the number of months.

b.) I believe it will be easier to answer with ^this equation.

c.) The rate of change would be 15, since the rate is increasing monthly by $15.

d.) Once you solve 209+15m=495, you'll have the answer.

Haley makes earrings and packages them into cube boxes that measure 1/6 foot wide. How many 1/6 foot cubic boxes can she fit int
alexandr402 [8]

Answer:  28 cube boxes.

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a cube can be found with this formula:

V_{(c)}=s^3

Where "s" is the lenght of any edge of the cube.

 You need to find the volume of a cube box:

V_1=s^3=(\frac{1}{6}ft)^3=\frac{1}{216}ft^3

To find the volume of the shipping box, first we must convert the mixed number to  an improper fraction. To do it, multiply the whole number part by the denominator of the fraction and add this product to the numerator.

The denominator does not change.

Then:

1\ \frac{1}{6}=\frac{(1*6)+1}{6}=\frac{7}{6}

Knowing the dimensions of the shipping box, you can calculate its volume by multiplying its dimensions. Then, this is:

V_2=(\frac{7}{6}\ ft)(\frac{1}{3}\ ft)(\frac{1}{3}\ ft)=\frac{7}{54}\ ft^3

Finally, in order to find the  number of cube boxes can Haley fits into a shipping box, you must divide the the volume of the shipping box by the volume of one cube:

\frac{\frac{7}{54}ft^3}{\frac{1}{216}ft^3}=28

2x2 =4 this is 4 or 3 ??????????<br>
Zolol [24]

Answer:

<h2>4 is the right answer</h2>

<h2>2 × 2 = 4</h2>

<h3>2 × 1 = 2 </h3><h3>2 × 2 = 4</h3><h3>2 × 3 = 6 </h3><h3>2 × 4 = 8</h3><h3>2 × 5 = 10</h3><h3>2 × 6 = 12</h3><h3>2 × 7 = 14</h3><h3>2 × 8 = 16</h3><h3>2 × 9 = 18</h3><h3>2 × 10 = 20</h3>

<h2>Why is 2+2=4 and 2x2=4? </h2>

<h3>Originally Answered: why does 2*2=4 and 2+2=4? The truth is that a number multiplied by itself does not have to be equal to the same number added to itself. We can prove 2x2=4 easily. We have 2 groups of 2s.</h3>
