Frogs are amphibians. Like all amphibians, frogs are cold-blooded, meaning that their body temperatures change with the temperat

ure of their surroundings. When temperatures drop, some frogs dig burrows in the mud at the bottom of ponds. They hibernate in these burrows until spring, perfectly still and barely breathing. Frogs can be found just about anywhere there's fresh water, on all continents except Antarctica. Though they thrive in warm, moist tropical climates, frogs also live in deserts and high on 15,000 foot mountain slopes. The Australian water-holding frog is a desert dweller that can wait for seven years for rain. It burrows underground and surrounds itself in a transparent cocoon made of its own skin. Frogs' skin is critical to their survival. Through it, they drink and breathe. Frogs don't swallow water; they get the moisture they need through their skin. And although frogs have lungs, they rely on the oxygen they absorb through their skin, especially when they're underwater. Frogs must keep their skin moist. Otherwise, oxygen does not easily pass through it and the frog suffocates. Even though frog skin secretes a mucus that helps keep it moist, their skin tends to dry out easily, which is why they usually stay near bodies of water.
Consider the bar graph comparing the number of frogs in four different habitats. Based on the information above about frogs, what is the MOST LIKELY factor limiting the frog population?

A) competition
B) food
C) space
D) water

Lady bird [3.3K]

Answer:

There is no deacceleration.

Explanation:

Let's check relation between velocity and acceleration

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow a=\dfrac{dv}{dt}

\\ \rm\Rrightarrow a\propto dv

So as velocity graph is going up acceleration is going up

Those flat lines on graph shows constant acceleration .

Curve lines up shows instantaneous acceleration.

If the graph is going down then it can be deacceleration .

Note :-No F is present in graph

When a molecule of NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) gains a hydrogen atom (not a proton), the molecule becomes _____. Wh
vovikov84 [41]

Answer:

Reduced

Explanation:

NAD⁺ is an intermediate electron acceptor, acting as an oxidant (together with FAD⁺) that participates in cellular respiration as a fundamental reagent, gaining a hydrogen atom (H) in this process, becoming NADH which will later be oxidized.

This process of converting NAD⁺ to NADH (and FAD⁺ converted to FADH₂) by gaining a hydrogen atom is called reduction.

On combustion, 1.0 L of a gaseous compound of hydrogen, carbon, and sulfur gives 2.0 L of CO2, 3.0 L of H2O vapor, and 1.0 L of
Murrr4er [49]

Answer:

The empirical formula of the organic compound is  = C_2H_6S_1

Explanation:

At STP, 1 mole of gas occupies 22.4 L of volume.

Moles of CO_2 gas at STP occupying 2.0 L = n

n\times 22.4L=2.0L

n=\frac{2.0 L}{22.4 L}=0.08929 mol

Moles of carbon in 0.08920 mol = 1 × 0.08920 mol = 0.08920 mol

Moles of H_2O gas at STP occupying 3.0 L = n'

n'\times 22.4L=3.0L

n'=\frac{3.0 L}{22.4 L}=0.1339 mol

Moles of hydrogen in 0.1339 moles of water vapor = 2 × 0.1339 mol = 0.2678 mol

Moles of SO_2 gas at STP occupying 1.0 L = n''

n''\times 22.4L=1.0L

n''=\frac{1.0 L}{22.4 L}=0.04464 mol

Moles of sulfur in 0.04464 mol = 1 × 0.04464 mol = 0.04464 mol

Moles of carbon , hydrogen and sulfur constituent of that organic compound .

Moles of carbon in 0.08920 mol = 1 × 0.08920 mol = 0.08920 mol

Moles of hydrogen in 0.1339 moles of water vapor = 2 × 0.1339 mol = 0.2678 mol

Moles of sulfur in 0.04464 mol = 1 × 0.04464 mol = 0.04464 mol

For empirical; formula divide the least number of moles from all the moles of elements.

carbon = \frac{0.08920 mol}{0.04464 mol}=2

Hydrogen =  \frac{0.2678 mol}{0.04464 mol}=6

Sulfur = \frac{0.04464 mol}{0.04464 mol}=1

The empirical formula of the organic compound is  = C_2H_6S_1
