Answer : The Al_2S_3 contains the greatest mass of aluminum.

Explanation :

For AlPO_4 :

Molar mass of AlPO_4 = 122 g/mole

Molar mass of aluminium = 27 g/mole

As, 122 g of AlPO_4 contains 27 g of Al

So, 122 g of AlPO_4 contains \frac{122}{122}\times 27=27g of Al

The mass of 'Al' in AlPO_4 is, 27 grams.

For Al_2Cl_6 :

Molar mass of Al_2Cl_6 = 266.7 g/mole

Molar mass of aluminium = 27 g/mole

As, 266.7 g of Al_2Cl_6 contains 2\times 27g of Al

So, 266 g of Al_2Cl_6 contains \frac{266}{266.7}\times 2\times 27=54g of Al

The mass of 'Al' in Al_2Cl_6 is, 54 grams.

For Al_2S_3 :

Molar mass of Al_2S_3 = 150 g/mole

Molar mass of aluminium = 27 g/mole

As, 150 g of Al_2S_3 contains 2\times 27g of Al

So, 225 g of Al_2S_3 contains \frac{225}{150}\times 2\times 27=81g of Al

The mass of 'Al' in Al_2S_3 is, 81 grams.

Hence, from this we conclude that Al_2S_3 contains the greatest mass of aluminum.

Compare a photon and quantum. How are they alike? How are they different?
mario62 [17]

Quantum is deemed to be a distinct container with energy kept in, whereas photon is considered as an elementary particle. Photon and quantum are two very significant principles talked about in modern physics. These principles are broadly used in quantum chemistry, quantum physics, electromagnetic theory, particle physics, optics, etc. These principles are also applied in a lot of actual world applications such as high resolution microscopy, LASERs, measurements of molecular distances, photochemistry, and quantum cryptography. It is highly important to have knowledge and a good understanding in photon and quantum so that we could excel in the aforesaid fields. A photon is an elementary particle, however, a quantum is not an elementary particle. A quantum does not have the properties of both wave like and particle like, but a photon does. A photon is not about a measure of quantity and can be defined as a quantum of energy, on the contrary, a quantum can be described as a measure of quantity.

1. The picture above shows salt (NaCl).
Gwar [14]

Answer: A Chloride is attracted to the hydrogen atoms in a water molecule.

Explanation: Salt dissociates in water because Chlorine which is an anion gets attracted to the positively charged atoms of Hydrogen in water. This attraction causes Cl to bind with Hydrogen allowing Na to be left behind.

How would you write and name the ions for tin?
Yakvenalex [24]
For Single Element Ions (e.g. K+ , Mg2+, P3-) To name positive (+) ions write the name as from the Periodic Table and add the word 'ion' afterwards. To name negative (-) ions write the name from the Periodic Table but replace the ending with 'ide'. Put the word 'ion' after the name.
