25 - 10 = 15

The train has slowed down by 15 M/s in a period of 240s, therefore;
15/240 = 0.0625 M/S²

Thus the train has decelerated by 0.0625 M/S² (metres per second, per second).

Hope this helps! :)

Answer: The acceleration of the train will be -0.0625m/s^2

Explanation:

Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity of an object.

Mathematically,

a=\frac{\Delta v}{t}

where,

a = acceleration

\Delta v=v_2-v_1 = Change in velocity

t = Time

We are Given:

a=?m/s^2\\v_1=25m/s\\v_2=10m/s\\t=240s

Putting values in above equation, we get:

a=\frac{(10-25)m/s}{240s}=-0.0625m/s^2

Negative sign implies this is the negative acceleration.

Hence, the acceleration of the train is -0.0625m/s^2

What factors influence the speed of a wave?
fiasKO [112]

Answer: A medium is any substance or region through which a wave is transmitted. The speed of a wave is dependant on four factors: wavelength, frequency, medium, and temperature. Wave speed is calculated by multiplying the wavelength times the frequency (speed = l * f).
