How do you solve these problems without numbers

Mathematics

i dont know if you want me to answer them or not, but you have to COMBINE LIKE TERMS if you dont then your problems would be messed up example if you have a+a it would be 2a make sense? so you want everything combined then you have to solve. theres no possible way of solving these without numbers number would have to be added although youll probably end up getting rid of the numbers in the end. after you combine like terms do the rest of solving

hope that helps if you need more help pm me, :)

6. Kriti has a circular swimming pool in her house. The radius of the swimming
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

Total walk she did around the pool every morning = 141.3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given - Kriti has a circular swimming pool in her house. The radius of the swimming  pool is 22.5 cm. She walks one round every morning before diving in the pool.

To find - How far does she walk around the pool every morning?

Proof -

Given that, the swimming pool is circular in shape.

So,

1 round of circle = Circumference of circle.

As we know that,

Circumference = 2\pi r

                         = 2*\pi *22.5

                         = 141.3

∴ we get

Total walk she did around the pool every morning = 141.3

Alinehasaslopeof 1/3 anda y-intercept of –5What isitsequationin slope-intercept form? Write your answer using integers, proper f
user100 [1]

Answer:

y = \frac{1}{3}x - 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

slope\ (m) = \frac{1}{3}

y\ intercept = -5

Required

Determine the line equation in slope intercept

The equation of a line in slope intercept is:

y = mx + b

Where

m = slope = \frac{1}{3}

b = y\ intercept = -5

So, y = mx + b becomes

y = \frac{1}{3}x - 5

A manufacturer makes chocolate squares that have a target weight of 8 g. Quality control engineers sample 30 chocolate squares t

Using the <em>normal distribution and the central limit theorem</em>, it is found that the power of the test is of 0.9992 = 99.92%.

<h3>Normal Probability Distribution</h3>

In a normal distribution with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the z-score of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

  • It measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean.
  • After finding the z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score, which is the percentile of X.
  • By the Central Limit Theorem, the sampling distribution of sample means of size n has standard deviation s = \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}.

In this problem:

  • The mean is \mu = 8.5.
  • The standard deviation is \sigma = 0.87.
  • A sample of 30 is taken, hence n = 30, s = \frac{0.87}{\sqrt{30}} = 0.1588.

The power of the test is given by the probability of a sample mean above 8, which is <u>1 subtracted by the p-value of Z when X = 8</u>, so:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

By the Central Limit Theorem:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{s}

Z = \frac{8 - 8.5}{0.1588}

Z = -3.15

Z = -3.15 has a p-value of 0.0008.

1 - 0.0008 = 0.9992.

The power of the test is of 0.9992 = 99.92%.
