x^2+3x-5=0\\\\a=1;\ b=3;\ c=-5\\\\b^2-4ac=3^2-4\cdot1\cdot(-5)=9+20=29\\\\x_1=\dfrac{-b-\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a};\ x_2=\dfrac{-b+\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\\\\x_1=\dfrac{-3-\sqrt{29}}{2\cdot1}=\dfrac{-3-\sqrt{29}}{2}\approx-4.19\\\\x_2=\dfrac{-3+\sqrt{29}}{2\cdot1}=\dfrac{-3+\sqrt{29}}{2}\approx1.19

Why is it helpful to write numbers in different ways
Goshia [24]
You should write numbers in as many ways as you possibly can to make new connections in your brain. Knowing how to write numbers in many different ways can help you solve complex problems more easily. Doing this can also reinforce the mathematical principles and logic you have memorised.

Writing one in many different ways:

1=1/1=2/2=3/3=4/4=(-1)/(-1)=(-2)/(-2)

=1.0=1.00=1.000=(1/2)+(1/2)=(1/3)+(1/3)+(1/3)

=(1/4)+(1/4)+(1/4)+(1/4)

Writing a half in many different ways:

1/2=(1/4)+(1/4)=(1/6)+(1/6)+(1/6)

=(1/8)+(1/8)+(1/8)+(1/8)=4*(1/8)

=2/4=3/6=4/8=5/10=0.5=0.50

etc...etc...

Midway through the fundraiser, Mrs Little, the sponsor, discovers a container of buttermilk in the back of the fridge. It has 6
solong [7]

Answer: 6 recipes

Step-by-step explanation: Just divide the 6 cups of buttermilk by 7/8 because each recipe need 7/8 cup of butter milk. You will get a number like this 6.857142857142857 (there are probably more decimals that come after it.) But, all the numbers after the 6 are useless because more recipes can't be made with those because you need at least 7/8  cups for one recipe. So, this will make 6 recipes. Hope this helps!
