Answer: -

The temperature change for water in the 4-liter container will be

a.half that of the 2-liter container.

Explanation: -

The increase in temperature of a substance when heat is given to it is given by the formula

Q = m x c x ΔT

Where Q is the heat supplied, m is the mass of water, c is the specific heat of water and ΔT is the change in the temperature of water.

Or ΔT = \frac{Q}{m x c}

From the formula we see that for the same amount of heat, increase is temperature is more for less amount of mass.

We know that more the volume of water, more the amount of water present and consequently more the mass of water.

Thus for the same amount of heat supplied, the temperature increases more for a lesser volume of water.

Let density of water be d.

Mass of 4 L= volume x density = 4 L x d

T 1 = ΔT for 4 L = \frac{Q}{m x c}

                  = \frac{Q}{4 L x d x c}

Mass of 2 L= volume x density = 2 L x d

T2 = ΔT for 2 L = \frac{Q}{m x c}

                  = \frac{Q}{2 L x d x c}

On taking ratio

\frac{T 2}{T 1} = 2

Thus the temperature change for water in the 4-liter container will be

a.half that of the 2-liter container.

An aqueous solution contains 0.100 m naoh at 25.0 °c. the ph of the solution is ________.
ikadub [295]
Recall; pH + pOH = 14
In this case [OH-] =0.100 m
therefore;
pOH = -LOG[OH-]
         = - Log (0.100)
         = 1.00
 Therefore; the pOH is 1.00
And since, pH +pOH = 14
Then pH = 14-pOH
                = 14 -1
                 = 13
Thus the pH is 13.00

A 1500 kg race car accelerates at a rate of about 9M /s2 as to how much force does the engine need to create for this to happen
IgorC [24]

Answer:

13500 N

Explanation:

According to newtons second law of motion

mass m =1500 Kg

a = 9m/s^2

Force F = mass m × acceleration a

F = 1500×9= 13500 N

For the reaction below, initially the partial pressure of all 3 gases is 1.0atm. . 2NH3(g)--> N2(g) + 3H2(g) K, 0.83 1. When
erma4kov [3.2K]

Answer:

The reaction would shift toward the reactants

When the reaction reach equilibrium the partial pressure of NH3 will be greater than 1atm

Explanation:

For the reaction:

2NH₃(g) ⇄ N₂(g) + 3H₂(g)

Where K is defined as:

K = \frac{P_{N_{2}}*P_{H_2}^3}{P_{NH_3}^2} = 0.83

As initial pressures of all 3 gases is 1.0atm, reaction quotient, Q, is:

Q = \frac{1atm*{1atm}^3}{1atm^2} = 1

As Q > K, <em>the reaction will produce more NH₃ until Q = K consuming N₂ and H₂.</em>

Thus, there are true:

<h3>The reaction would shift toward the reactants</h3><h3>When the reaction reach equilibrium the partial pressure of NH3 will be greater than 1atm</h3>
