Change everything into 10ths as follows:

1/10 + 2.5/10 = 3.5/10 of an hour to make one bracelet. Then change to 20ths so the numerator is a whole number.
Divide your time available by the time it takes to make one.

21
4 = 420= 15 bracelets

(as a whole number there was no fraction or remainder to round off)

Nella travelled 1/3 of a journey by bus, 2/3 of the remainder by bicycle and the remaining 9 km on foot. a)How far did Nella cyc
Kitty [74]

Answer:

18km

40.5km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let b = journey by bus

c = journey by bicycle

d = total journey

c = (2/3 x d) x 2/3

divide both sides by 2/s

c(3/2) = (2/3)d

c + 9km = 2/3d

c + 9km = 3/2 c

collect like terms and solve for c

3/2c - c = 9km

1/2c = 9km

c = 18km

2. IF cycling (18km) and walking (9km) make up 2/3 of the journey, 2/3 of the journey is 27km

2/3d = 27km

divide both sides by 3/2 to find d

d = 40.50 km
