The function modelled by the height (x) of the tree is as follows:
y - 180 = (368 - 180)/(7 - 3) (x - 3)
y - 180 = 47(x - 3) = 47x - 141
y = 47x - 141 + 180 = 47x + 39

Therefore, after 10 years, the tree will be 47(10) + 39 = 470 + 39 = 509 cm tall

the sum of the measures of the interior angels of a convex polygon is 3240 classify the polygon by the number of sides
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

20-gon

Step-by-step explanation:

First we start with the formula  to find what the sum of angles will be if we know the number of sides.

S=(n-2)*180 where S is the sum of angles and n is the number of sides.

Normally you'd plug in n to find S, but you can do the opposite too.

3240=(n-2)*180

igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

The values of y would be -9 and 15

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

the formula to calculate the distance between two points is equal to

d=\sqrt{(y2-y1)^{2}+(x2-x1)^{2}}

we have

d=13\ units

S(-2,3) and T(3,y)

substitute the given values in the formula and solve for y

13=\sqrt{(y-3)^{2}+(3+2)^{2}}

13=\sqrt{(y-3)^{2}+25}

squared both sides

169=(y-3)^{2}+25

(y-3)^{2}=169-25

(y-3)^{2}=144

take square root both sides

y-3=(+/-)12

y=3(+/-)12

y=3(+)12=15

y=3(-)12=-9

therefore

The values of y would be -9 and 15
