The  number  of  ml  of  hcl  required  to  react  with  Zn  is  calculated  as  follows
step  one:  calculate the  number  of  Zn   moles
that  is  mass/  molar  mass  of  Zn
7.65  g/65.38  g /mol=  0.117  moles

step  two :  write  the  reacting  equation
Zn  +  2  HCl --->  ZnCl2  +  H2
from  the  equation   above  the  reacting  ratio   between  ZN  to  HCl  is  1:2
therefore  the  moles  of  HCL  =  2  x  0.117moles =  0.234  moles

volume  of  Hcl=  moles of  HCl  /  molarity  of  Hcl
that  is   0.234 /6=0.039 L  ,  multiply  by  1000  to  convert  to  Ml  since  molarity  is  the  concentration  in  litres
0.039  x1000=  39ML

Which solution contains the smallest number of moles of sucrose (c12h22o11, molar mass = 342.30 g/mol)? 2,000 ml of a 5.0 × 10–5
Iteru [2.4K]

> 2,000 mL of a 5.0 × 10–5% (w/v) sucrose solution

5.0 × 10–3 g/mL * 2000 mL * (1 mol / 342.30 g) = 0.0292 mol

<span>
> 2,000 mL of a 5.0 ppm sucrose solution</span>

5 grams / 1000000 mL * 2000 mL* (1 mol / 342.30 g) = 0.0000292 mol

> 20 mL of a 5.0 M sucrose solution </span>

5.0 M * 0.020 L = 0.1 mol

Answer: The number of grams of H_2 in 1620 mL is 1.44 g

Explanation:

According to ideal gas equation:

PV=nRT

P = pressure of gas = 1 atm (at STP)

V = Volume of gas = 1620 ml = 1.62 L  (1L=1000ml)

n = number of moles = ?

R = gas constant =0.0821Latm/Kmol

T =temperature =273K

n=\frac{PV}{RT}

n=\frac{1atm\times 16.2L}{0.0821Latm/K mol\times 273K}=0.72moles

Mass of hydrogen =moles\times {\text {Molar mass}}=0.72mol\times 2g/mol=1.44g

The number of grams of H_2 in 1620 mL is 1.44 g
