Answer:

It will take 3 hrs and 30 min. Here is why:

Step-by-step explanation:

If 4 miles is in one hour the closest to 14 is 12 without going over. 4 miles per hour times 3 is 12 miles per 3 hours but the issue is how do we find how long the other 2 miles take? Well if we go back to 4 miles per hour we just need to divide both sides by 2. We get 2 miles per half an hour or 30 minutes so adding 12 miles+ 2 miles we get 14 miles. Then adding our time 3 hour and 30 minutes that is our answer!

Answer : It takes 3 hours and 30 minutes for Martha to walk 14 miles.

Is 5/6 closer to 1 or 0
Tasya [4]
The easiest way to think about this is to give all of the numbers common denominators:
1 can be written as 6/6
0 can be written as 0/6

Now we can see that 5/6 is only 1/6 away from 1, while it is 5/6 away from 0.

So, 5/6 is closer to 1!
