One heater uses 310 W of power when connected by itself to a battery. Another heater uses 180 W of power when connected by itsel
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:

55.8W

Explanation:

P= V^2/R

R= V^2/P

For series connection

Req= R1+ R2= V^2/310 + V^2/180

R=V^2/P= V^2/310 + V^2/180

But V^2 will cancel out

P= 1/(1/310 + 1/180)

P= 55.8W

2. A force of 156 N acts on a 7.3-kg bowling ball for 0.40 s.
atroni [7]

Answer:

62.4N\cdot s

Explanation:

The change in momentum of the ball is equal to the impulse exerted on it, therefore:

\Delta p = I = F \Delta t

where

\Delta p is the change in momentum

F is the average force exerted on the ball

\Delta t is the time during which the force is applied

In this problem,

F = 156 N

\Delta t = 0.40 s

So, the change in momentum of the ball is

\Delta p =(156)(0.40)=62.4N\cdot s

In 2 or 3 sentences, describe how antitrust laws encourage competition.
Zigmanuir [339]
Antitrust laws are used to theoretically protect consumers from businesses that seek to distort the market through unfair practices. Antitrust laws prevent the creation of cartels or groups of companies that work in conjunction to raise the costs of goods above the market value that would occur with competition. The also restrict the mergers and acquisitions of companies that would restrict or inhibit competition if a company were to get too large. And finally these laws prevent the misuse or creation of monopoly power by a single or a few large firms to distort the market and prevent competition and pricing that is deemed to be a fair market price to consumers.

Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

Explanation:

The question here is that if sneezy hands from a similar rope while delivering presents at the earth's equator, what will be the tension in the rope be. Here is the solution:The tension on the rope when it is at pole, T= 455 NTo find, the tension, t= mgTo solve for mass, m= t/g. Substituting this we have, m=455/9.8. m=46.43 kgAssume that the downwards acceleration is, a= -46.43 m/s^2.T = mg + maT = (46.43 kg) ( 9.8 m/s^2) - (46.43 kg) (-46.43 m/s^2)T = 455.01 kg-m/s^2 - -2155.74 kg-m/s^2T = 2610.75 kg-m/s^2 = 2610.75 N
