Describe how sand dunes form and how dunes migrate
Jlenok [28]
The wind is just strong enough to move the sand grains which were sorted by size by the wind. Heavier grains were left in place where as smaller grains were carried away. These grains kept moving till they were concentrated in one place usually up a hill. The grains climb the flat slope on the windward side and then fall off the steep side. The dunes may migrate slowly as this process continues, the grains at the upwind side climb the dune with the help of the wind and then fall down the downwind side.

What statement best describes an independent variable?
prisoha [69]
Answer : D. The factor that's changed by the experimenter and impacts the dependent variable.

An independent variable is a variable in which you can manipulate or control while the dependent variable depends on the independent variable. An example of an independent variable is the running while the dependent variable is your pulse rate. The pulse rate depends on how fast and how long is the distance of your run. The pulse rate maybe higher and faster if you’ve run quite long and will be close to stable if you only run for a short distance and slow speed.
