Which statement is best supported by this scenario?

A. Penelope was correct when she said that water takes millions of years to form.

Correct option: B

The water is a precious resource as it is used everywhere. Once we use the water it becomes dirty or unusable and can only be recycled by snow melting or rainfall. Clean water can get used up and it can only be replenished by rain or snow melting. Hence, Penelope was correct when she said that water (clean) can be used up. If you use water for washing, cleaning and other industrial purposes, it becomes dirty and you cannot reuse it. Hence, you have to wait for rain to get clean water again. Hence, the clean water can be used up.

How did harlow shapley conclude that the sun was not in the center of the milky way galaxy?
timurjin [86]

We learned that We are in the disk of the Galaxy, about 5/8 of the way from the center.

What is the work of Harlow Shapley?

Shapley, who was headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, used Cepheid variable stars to estimate the size of the Milky Way Galaxy and its position relative to the Sun. In 1953, he published his "liquid water belt" theory, today known as the concept of a livable zone.

There are many stars, grains of dust, and gas in the Milky Way. It is known as a spiral galaxy because, from the top or bottom, it would appear to be whirling like a pinwheel. About 25,000 light-years from the galaxy's nucleus, the Sun is situated on one of the spiral arms.

Approximately 5/8 of the way from the galaxy's nucleus, we are in the disc. William Herschel believed that the Sun and Earth were about in the middle of the vast cluster of stars known as the Milky Way.

In a two-body collision, if the momentum of the system is conserved, then which of the
lakkis [162]

Answer:

c) may also be conserved

Explanation:

Momentum is conserved in both elastic and inelastic type of collisions.

But the differences is that:

In an ELASTIC type of collisions, KINETIC ENERGY IS ALSO CONSERVED.

whereas, In an INELASTIC type of collision, KINETIC ENERGY IS NOT CONSERVED.

So unless until type of collision is specified, we can not say anything about the conservation of kinetic energy after collision.

Hence, may also be conserved is the appropriate option here.
