Correct option: B

The water is a precious resource as it is used everywhere. Once we use the water it becomes dirty or unusable and can only be recycled by snow melting or rainfall. Clean water can get used up and it can only be replenished by rain or snow melting. Hence, Penelope was correct when she said that water (clean) can be used up. If you use water for washing, cleaning and other industrial purposes, it becomes dirty and you cannot reuse it. Hence, you have to wait for rain to get clean water again. Hence, the clean water can be used up.

A new restaurant is interested in determining the best time-temperature combination for roasting a five-pound cut of lamb. The t
Leto [7]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

(c) The two cuts that are being roasted for each time-temperature combination are an example of replication.

In the question it is given that  From 10 identical cuts of lamb, 2 are randomly selected to roast using each of the time-temperature combinations in the same oven. Here it is an act of copying the exact sahpe size of the lamb in all cuts, which is nothing but replication. Moreover, this replication can help in proper comparision.

Velocity: You leave on a 549-mi trip in order to attend a meeting that will start 10.8 h after you begin your trip. Along the wa
rewona [7]

Answer:

1.55 h

Explanation:

Let the time to spend over dinner be t.

Since I need to spend 10.8 h for the whole trip, then I have 10.8 - t hours left to drive.

Speed = distance/time

v = \dfrac{d}{10.8-t}

d = v(10.8-t)

The distance is 549 and maximum speed is 65 mi/h.

549 = 65(10.8 - t)

10.8-t = 8.45

t = 10.8 - 8.45 = 1.55 \text{ h}
